Their Eden alphabet is based on elder futhark runes but also the "shape" of the sounds of each letter. Along the left side, it says "Take Me Back To Eden". The same is on every song from this album. You can get lost for hours digging into Sleep Token's lore. It's one of the many reasons they're my favorite band. In each of these videos from the album, the character changes somewhat. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes drastically. It all fits in with the song though. Notice the wings of the angel here become tattered and worn by the end of the song, a depiction of the lyrical story of being worn down by the anger in desperation for forgiveness and redemption. The "tenticles" at the bottom take deeper root into the base, depicting a sense of being stuck or rooted in this hell that won't let you go. Earlier in the song, he says "I will travel far beyond the path of reason." At the end, during the screaming, he says "I HAVE traveled far beyond the path of reason." He states how he's willing to do anything to get "back to Eden" (which is open to listener interpretation though likely a person or state of being rather than a physical place) and he gradually gets worn down and angered by the end of the song, unleashing that anger at the end by essentially saying "Gloves are off, I'm done asking nicely, take me the F back to my happiness right f'ing now!" This is a culmination of an emotional rollercoaster across this trilogy of albums, followed by Euclid which is full of callbacks. Save Euclid for when you finish the journey. I highly recommend, when you go through the journey, to take the time to pause and dive into the lyrics. The lyrics are extremely deep and well written, definitely shouldn't be overlooked.

I’m so glad you’re going to go back to EP One please also react to Jaws and The Way That You Were. They are a part of the story but just released as singles I’d recommend having the lyrics pulled up for further reactions 😊 DYWTYLM is a song on TMBTE. It’s stands for Do you wish that you loved me

@@RichInReaction they were released as singles but Jaws video was supposed to be for a song from the EP Two. So in between the two EPs is where they fit. The Way That You Were is a personal favorite of mine, it tells of the abuse she (synonymous with the Diety SLEEP, depends on how you interpret it) has endured. And I love seeing Vessel sing this song. The only other close up of his face is (in the mask, mouth showing) Bloodsport (from the room below version). His video for another song off the EP Two shows the bottom half of his face, a close up of his mouth singing and his eye. Other than that, he keeps his identity in darkness. (The mask) But definitely they belong there.

I saw someone say once that the end of the song is like he's breaking into Eden. I see it as like almost an act of defiance. The whole time he's almost pleading for SOMEONE ELSE to take him back (to Eden). I'm a moth to your flame, bite through these wires, you know my desire. Also he repeats "I will travel far beyond the path of reason." At the end it's like a switch. "I don't know what's got it's teeth in me, but I'm about to bite back in anger." And then he does. It's like aight fuck it, I'm done begging, I've traveled beyond the path of reason. Don't take me back to Eden, I'll get there my damn self.

I can see it, there was definitely a mood change at the end.

You won't be disappointed with the rest of the songs. Make sure to look up all songs because they have a few covers a few singles and a couple eps that aren't really apart of any albums but still go along with the story. And 100% get official lyrics pulled up too because they are so poetic and every little thing means something basically nothing in sleep token songs is just "filler". ❤ glad you're enjoying it.

if you are going to the beginning just know that you need to start with their 1st release called One from 2016. then do Two from 2017. It did not start with Sundowning.

@@RichInReaction oh yes!! It's about Vessel's life, abusive relationship, toxicity and self harm and finally at the end acceptance. It's sad but beautiful and melancholic at the same time. Vessel is such a genius and ties the whole thing together lyrically and musically. That's why Euclid will make you happy and sad at the same time. Lol 😂😭😁
