I understand what you mean with Lady of Embers. I'm now worried to read the last book because I've been away from the series for so long. The Spellshop was my favorite of the month.

Love to see the glow-up with Everflame, I have been nervous about that one bc I don't tend to love rebellion stories, but you and Cass have sold me!! And you are def not alone in feeling so meh on Tainted Cup, I hope the sequel is better 🤞 My faves of May were Hell for Hire by Rachel Aaron, Riven Earth by Zammar Ahmer, and Die Young by Morgan Shank ❤‍🔥

I’m so sad for you about Lord of Gold and Glory. The worst feeling! My favorite of May was hands-down the War of Lost Hearts. I’m kind of hoping you disagree with Cassidy and join me in loving it when you try.

Interesting that you call The Tainted Cup slow. I'm currently reading it and i disagree. I think it's incredibly fast paced and that's my biggest issue atm. I agree that it's not action-packed, but I don't think that's the same thing as slow

Fair enough to have different opinions! To me I didn’t find the mystery as interesting so it was slow.
