In 1979 I bought a RUST FREE 55 BELAIR p.pack Roller for 1000 bucks!
That 55 is a great restoration project.
The red 55 was the best deal you showed for an easier project. The GTX with all the extras was by far the very best deal you showed us.
Well, you certainly know your stuff on these oldies. We're from Canada, so the prices even on the cheaper ones, totally blows us away. Nice entertainment to watch your commentary, though... Thank you!
Outstanding work thanks for taking us there.
Thanks for the walk around, haven't been there in years.
That old 36 Ford...man that's beautiful
Great job doing this video. I think most of the prices on those that you showed were about 15% high in the real car world. But Carlisle gets a lot of foot traffic, so I don't blame them for the high sticker prices.
Once again, great video. Loved the old guy with the 55 Chevy explaining things. I’m not a truck guy either, but that red 1976 Chevy short bed was a good value. That GTX is going to need a TON of work. I’ll keep my $8,500 looking forward to your next video!!
I was thrilled that you featured a '64 Riviera in this episode. Bill Mitchell designed a true classic, and this one is a nice example. Thank you for pointing out that only the first two years featured the dual side-by-side headlights ('63-'64). It should have the 425 ci nailhead motor as well. Even with the wire wheel covers, $31k is a good price! (I'd be tempted, but wife says no way!)
Good job Parker. I’m at Barrett Jackson in New Orleans for weekend. It’s looking like a used car lot down here. It appears a lot of cars got pulled from this auction. We should have gone to Carlisle. Great video…thanks for keeping us updated. Take care. Mike
When I was 17 in the late 60s, I bought a 55 Chevy, for $280 and all it needed was transmission, I bought one three speed on the floor $125, and I wish I still had it
66/67 Chevelles never came with 427's from the factory but there are a few out there that were dealer-installed. I have seen a few in my travels, and the ones I have seen all have had window stickers and or paperwork
Great show , love the bargains ! Think the triple black Stang is a good un , also the Tempest rag.
awesome 55 story great great video
Another great video, with no stinking sponsored adds 👍😁
Great video. Thanks for passing on great collector car info👍🏽
Never see straight 6 camaros anymore.
It’s hard to walk the field anymore with my disability. Thank you for showing us what was for sale in our backyard in Pennsylvania.
Nicely done👍👍👍
lots of high prices no deals there

Where do you buy cars?
Great content learned a great deal on the 55 rust areas
To think I sold my beat-up '64 GTO convertible for $350 in 1974. The guy totaled it a week later.
Great video. Thanks for saving me the trip to Carlisle.
I wish I had access to the guy that welds his own panels on the 55 Chevy and has all the knowledge

@dewholdingsllc1050

Nothing, just saying there are no known craftsmen in my area of Central Texas that know how to correctly repair or replace rusty panels. My two cars are from 65, and one from 72.
You know your cars! Great job.😎✌️
Damn there's some great looking cars @ this place....greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
The trans am had snow flake wheels not honeycomb. The impala donkey is a 75 not 65. I'd rather have the 78 z28 . They're asking too much. Great video.
Great job and very infromative. Thanks for doing these videos and it shows there are still good deals out there and you don't need to go to a dealer.

@@johnnyeskew4703you're talking about one car! LMAO
Being from Pennsylvania and within 50 miles from Carlisle, I refuse to go anymore , the prices are out of reality. Everyone wants to get rich off of one car . They are in the end just an old car .
The gto was a good buy.
First time seeing "tahoe cover" for tonneau cover.
Boy I gotta give it to ya I’m digging this keep coming with the content no matter how overwhelming it may get keep it coming and that Cutlass is hard I saw you in that bih sliding one day. Pearl City FreakyT
I guess I should take my rare low build classic cars to Carlisle and see how much silliness $$ I can attract with any of them.

Those prices for project cars is ridiculous but I guess I know where I can sell something for silly money. I think classic car market is going soft in 2023. My weekly street cruiser is a survivor I recently rescued. 72 LTD Convertible with a 429 & C6 transmission. Last year built because nobody was buying. 4200+ total, only 566 built with a 429. Less than 50 built with my paint and trim. One of 2100 built a 65 AMC Rambler Classic 770 Convertible, needs work but complete, even fewer built in 66 before production ended. One of?? 65 Dodge Polara Convertible, first year on the C-Body, Slab Sided big block Chrysler. Also needs work. When people see any of these they ask what is it? So few built nobody has seen them. Old car restoration expert told me long ago rule of thumb was only 10% of convertible models survive. Modern databases can probably tell more accurate numbers.

@dewholdingsllc1050

@@paulricelli5520 What is your old car? Or modern street cruiser car? What is it you like? Yes, all of my classic cars were few ever built, that nobody has seen them, even fewer survive today, so while very unique, not super-valuable. For example, one friend with a 69 Mach-1 Mustang and CJ engine just restored it after sitting in a AZ garage for over 30 years. Prior owned died and widow wanted her garage back. Dead guy had no joy from owning/driving it just storing it. In 2023 its a Ford that there were what, 100s of thousands or a million, built? so not really rare, but a possible six-figure car because of market demand, which is how silly market is. I am attracted to affordable classic cars that the regular guy can buy, own, work on. Keeping these old cars running and on the street is the key for me. I have little interest in owning museum quality car nobody can touch or drive.
Love your channel keep them coming l am 72 favorite car 1967 barracuda with a 273 engine you have a good day
That Tempest was the best deal imo

That looks like a sweet ride. I’d be surprised if it doesn’t sell. 👍
good good job
On the '36 phaeton the spider hub caps and beauty rings are for the wide five wheels from '36 through '39 I believe those were optional.
Good choice of car's to review. Was hoping you would have checked out that 58 Corvette builder just before the black Mustang😏
That was a awesome video… thanks buddy… if I ever get the money up to go buy a 69 Camaro I need to take you along with me…
The red one i like
60 Chevy Impala...63 Chevy Impala...68 Roadrunner...Now a 2016 F150!
Great video. Stellar effort as always. Should have filmed the cheap stuff though. “Affordable “ is relative to your basis of comparison.
A buddy of mine bought a 55 chevy in primer, with no motor no trans, the interior and trim was in boxes. $5000. That was 30 years ago. Now that same car in same condition is $35000..
another great video #269 in like number

you have to get underneath to check for damage. rust etc..
I'd take the Red camaro and drive it once a week, looks like a fun car in very decent shape
This guy the dest along with others
Faced with these prices today, I threw my hands up and bought a 13 GS Corvette, 60th A car for 40k. Its a pure peach for the dollars vs. older muscle cost. I have owned some fine ones though.
Thanks This the Great Video & Channel ! I Have a Same Car Channel too , From Finland ! Have : American Car , Vintage Car , Muscle Car , Truck , Cruising ,... #Retired4You
That 1978 Z/28 was awesome!!! Too bad it was a stick!
1965 was the ONLY year for clam shell headlights. I'm 6'4", and sitting in my parents 1965 Rivera, with the power seat All the way back, I need another 4" to be comfortable.! Love the lines, but I just don't fit.
Nice hat, I own a C5 Z06. 64 GTO needs the engine rebuilt and possibly other work for 30k, a 66 427 Chevelle for 40k or a 69 Z/28 tribute for 32k. All 3 seem like decent deals but I think the 69 Camaro for 32k would be my choice. Great video!

LS Swap the 64 GTO... I think that would be a pretty sweet grocery getter.. Guarantee your the only one in town
"Phaeton" does NOT refer to a 'roadster', which were often referred to as 2 door convertible coupes. A phaeton is a FOUR door convertible SEDAN. Although a sedan, of course, seals up a whole lot better in inclement weather.
Great video. The GTO is a good buy, however, the red just looks wrong on it, I see red is more of a Chevrolet color. Too bad they didn’t do it in its original blue. Same with the 76C 10, great deal at 16,000, but those late 70s trucks looked so good in their metallic blue. Z28 clone is a good buy. Yellow GTX is a fantastic deal. Tempest is a winner. The blue Z28 is odd, not a race car and not a driver. And the blue looks off too, I don’t think it’s Le Mans blue. Pass on both Z28s. I’m going home with the GTX.
No, 30k is a bit high maybe 22. It's still a total project car requiring a lot more money to finish
75 Caprice
if The GTO has an original 4 - speed tranny then it's a good buy...
Isn't there any foreign stuff at this show in Carlisle Pennsylvania in the fall?
700👍
$25k-$60k affordable? Try for some of us less fortunate guys in the next video around $10k bro!!
People at Carlisle must have more money than common sense.
The Economy, Fuel Prices, the future availability of Gasoline ❓ Seems like people are asking late 90’s early 2000’s prices. I truly hope these people get what they need for their vehicles.
Holy cow.! As prices have gone up since I was there last. Probably 30 years. A 64 GTO with no motor or trans, for 30k.? And not in the original color. You'd have to spend another 30-40k to make it right. Not much profit if you wanted to try and flip it, once restored. Last time I was there 58 Chevrolet Impalas weren't that desirable, seen many restored, and unrestored no rust for $35,000- 40,000, now they're 60k at least.

You skipped over the Buick Skylark that was behind the 55 Chevy for $58,500. Bummer……
1975 Caprice classic not 1965 Caprice !😮
The 76 chevy truck is NOT in Hugger Orange. It's too red to be Hugger Orange. My dad had a 1970 Hugger Orange and white. Pickup.

@daleliske9757

@backyardbarnfinds they have the same paint code for 1969, code 72. But a lot of people say that the Pontiacs version has more red in it. Also, Corvette used an entirely different paint code for Hugger Orange. 882? I think. Now some other people say carousel red looks more red, on camera. So, I guess it's a draw. I just remember my dad's truck being more orange than red. Shade wise. Kinda like how early chevy engines were painted. "Chevrolet orange "
10k for the gto
Yes affordable for rich people.
1975 not 1965
Only my opinion, I wouldn't give you $1 for anything that is a kit car. Or any type of collector car that doesn't have matching numbers for the engine block and transmission
That 64 gto in no way worth 30k.
Now this does me no good!!! This sale is over!!!
Not a Donk guy
The best deal is the '76 Chevy PU. Next is the white Tempest. The rest is overpriced junk. I've fixed enough of these dogs. 60k for a modified '55 chevy? Sorry, but that's nuts.

The Quality of the 60k Bel Air doesn't Show on camera.. that car had well north of 60k into it.. I promise
Car scene and old car hobby is for rich people now. How many blue collar people can afford 25k + for a car and it still needs work. Completely insane.
Once again I don't know just me but I lost interest in all of that crap. I just bought in 1984 Jaguar xjs v12 running an extremely minimal rust. Solid body and not a bad interior. The car runs and drives for $6,500. To me that's more interesting than any of this stuff. I have three Jaguars and I have fun with everyone of them and I have minimal problems two V8's and a V12.... one with a completely original aluminum body and to steal car bodies. One with no rust and like I said the V12 has minimal
I dont know where you get your information but your wrong alot
