Totally agree. Cleveland took him as the first pick over Len Bias in the 1987 draft as they wanted a man in the middle. Too bad injuries forced him into early retirement. He was such a great passing big man and probably the best at that time.

I understand I stopped watching the all star game in 2007 because they stopped playing defense. So glad I recorded all the game up to and before so that I can always watch I’m moving towards putting the ones I have up on the channel I just have to get them and begin this process it takes a while but once they are up that will be cool I can rewatch them a bit easier. They are on VHS and time to do this I’ve had the tapes for some time as far back as 1986 and hopefully I can get the tapes to work to copy them to KZread the last time I made these were a few years ago. I have lots of other games as well just a tedious process and life kinda got in the way but I’ll begin uploading again I didn’t want to lose a lot of the videos I’ve got some things people probably don’t have or the NBA or NCAA has not posted on KZread

Totally agree. Cleveland took him as the first pick over Len Bias in the 1987 draft as they wanted a man in the middle. Too bad injuries forced him into early retirement. He was such a great passing big man and probably the best at that time.

Great game! Love the intense ending. Ewing’s automatic from the right block. Jordan in control. Stockton superb. Riley play calling. Price shooting the lights out. Malone Chuck & Shaq banging the glass. So cool.

So many stars in this game, all time greats, it's unbelievable.
After watching the trash show of the 2024 NBA All-Star Game. I had to re-watch this game to remind myself of what these games should look like. You can still have high scoring games, but at least show effort.

Everyone ran zone defenses; they were just good at disguising it. The officials generally required the offensive players to expose it.

The best part of the all start game was we got to see teams that would never happen and they actually tried to one up each other Nowadays most of them are already on teams together and don’t even try to make it competitive.

All these guys were fierce competitors. They may be friends off the course but they hated each other on. No building super teams everyone was going after Jordan.
Prior to One and Dones.. players developed in systems as collegiate athletes. Fundamentals first, made a better game. Now the NBa is watered down with basically the same player archetype..

This all star game had a lot of narratives. MJ was trying to outshine Drexler. The Centers were going at each other. Shaq was a rookie. Stockton Malone and it is in Utah.

I understand I stopped watching the all star game in 2007 because they stopped playing defense. So glad I recorded all the game up to and before so that I can always watch I’m moving towards putting the ones I have up on the channel I just have to get them and begin this process it takes a while but once they are up that will be cool I can rewatch them a bit easier. They are on VHS and time to do this I’ve had the tapes for some time as far back as 1986 and hopefully I can get the tapes to work to copy them to KZread the last time I made these were a few years ago. I have lots of other games as well just a tedious process and life kinda got in the way but I’ll begin uploading again I didn’t want to lose a lot of the videos I’ve got some things people probably don’t have or the NBA or NCAA has not posted on KZread

True, but Reggie Lewis played pretty good this year, which, unfortunately, would be his final year. Lakers wouldn't have an allstar again until 95 when Cedric Ceballos made it. Don't remember right now who the next Celtics was that made allstar game again.
