It's sad because the first song we see Victor skate to is a love song. Victor has neglected life and love from an early age and focused on skating. He was alone "dancing to a love song" that he didn't experience. But then he met Yuri, and he brought joy and love into his life and what was once neglected is now full of hope and inspiration. Now they are both dancing together to a song that was once so lonely...Now full of love 💙💜

@@v.bright7123 the anime did not go into Victor's romantic history, or his personal past really, but Victor has thought and said his thoughts about his "L's" in his life and how he neglected them. He also said that he was starting to lose inspiration in skating, but Yuri inspired him again. I can't think of the episodes where he did, but if I have time I can find references, I'll get them for you. With the info I got for him, I wrote this comment about my thoughts of his life.

@@v.bright7123 Here are some Victor quotes relating to "L's". I got these quotes from the Yuri on Ice!!! Wikia, and I remember these quotes being canon. Sadly it didn't list what episode the quotes were from, and I would write them down for you, but I don't remember which episode Victor says these lines. Sorry. "When I get away from skating, two L words come to mind, Life and Love. I've been neglecting both for over twenty years." (to himself) "Yuuri's life and love have taught me about a brand new world that I'd never known before." (to himself) "Yuuri [Katsuki], you may not have realized this, but many others besides me got their L words from you." (to himself)

There are two versions, the solo literally meaning he is alone. And the second a duet meaning he found his love. :-)

I have to give Minako props to her brilliant point of view. This program fits Yuuri way more.

The timing, the background colours, the thumbnail, gorgeous! I didn't realise half of these clips were even part of the same routine!

This routine and song is really integral to the show as a whole just as much I would say as Eros or Yuri on Ice and I think I've overlooked that till now.

The fact that I can understand the lyrics of the song just makes it more realistic and beautiful. (PS: "Stammi vicino" in Italian means "stay close to me")
