I've seen this happen with several youtubers that pretend to be experts at the games they are making guides of. Like Spiffing Brit calling Lae'Zel "Laziel" which is something you only would do if you never played the game yourself and are making your video following someone else's guide just skipping to the parts you have to be at to capture the footage you need.

@@Leongon at this point i just assume they hire people to play and edit the footage and just put their voice rec over it. another reason why i rarely watch Yters with more then 100k subs

You can get the Shapeshifter's Boon Ring from the Strange Ox in Act 1 by slapping him with a mage hand while the rest of your party hides, then talking to him with the hand's controller once the hand is dead. He'll want you to give him cash to bring up his approval, but instead you can just buy the ring in the trading screen.

Mystra's Benevolence only lasts until Long Rest.

These youtubers are copying each other most of the time. So they mispronounce names and replicate each other's misinformation like this about Mystra's Blessing being permanent which I have heard others also parrot around without none of them fact checking any info.

If you don’t want to jump down the hole at moonrise, you can go there via the “road to baldurs gate” gate, if you have yet to beat the boss in act 2

I love it that I have seen most of that secrets and items in a blind play through. I really just love this game

I knock chop out because i don’t want to grant him the mercy of death. He can wake up afterwards, alone and trapped in the colony.

An important hidden quirk of the Rat Bat: AFAIK, it is the only weapon that still uses the Damage Rider Source bug/feature in Honor Mode that they patched out. In other words, in Honor Mode, it triggers Damage Riders twice per hit (once for the base damage, and once for the added piercing damage.) This actually makes it a pretty powerful, top-tier weapon in Honor Mode, if you stack a lot of DRs. I like it a lot for a thuggish sort of Durge character.

About ORTHON EXPLOSIVES. It can also be obtained through picking up bombs thrown by Yurgir during his fight ( must be the first turn they are thrown) before they are armed. There is 14 of them to get.

They are a totally different item that deals WAY more damage, but they also become strange when you put them away. They work best if you drop them into fire instead of throwing them.

Nice tips I missed most of them in my first play through, but I’ll be looking for them now thank you buddy

6:35 its worth mentioning that if you are romancing astarion, youll lose more than just approval if you push him into drinking the drow's blood. Learned that the hard way 😅

You can get another mindflayer tadpole underneath the prison of moonrise on the body of a zealot, I went after the beating Ketheric and found it

7:53 there's 2 more mind flayer parasites in a metal cylinder with the zhentarim symbol at the back of moonrise by the docks.

you dont need karlash head as a key to unlock that wall, you can simply use the heart that is on the table litteraly behind you in the room..

Bruh i can't believe i missed that warlock clothing on my 1st playthrough

The other day I tried summoning Quote the Raven to check if it would stay after taking off the gloves, which it doesn't so you have to keep em on, BUT! I did this on Wyll, and I found out Quote gets extra attack from the warlock pact while other non-warlock summons like Scratch don't.

I love when someone shares bg3 secrets but doesn't even pronounce Mystras name correctly.

I have noticed the Dwarven Splintmail respawn on my games after I take a long rest.

Pretty sure one of the merchants in Moonrise Tower has the Potent Robes if you end up going Dark Urge. Can't remember who exactly had it, but I definitely saw it while playing through my Durge Honor Mode with my buddy.

Us has to survive the nautiloid in act 1 btw (duh)

The infernal alloy didn't work for me in that way. Idk if it's been patched out but I only got 1 piece in return for it just last week

It seems buggy this way. My latest playthrough (Astarion), I got all three armor pieces from that alloy. My previous one (Gale), I only got the armor. I think it might be clicking too fast that consumes it. I made Astarion back out of the conversation and repeat the alloy option and that way I didn't have to use up any iron, just the one alloy piece.

SO MANY items and cool combo's but...... party size 4 :)

So question, the Orthon explosives I got them thru devilfoil mask, but I was able to get stronger ones from Yurgir, usually they explode when I picked them up but this time they didn’t and now I have 5 of them. If anyone can confirm how to do it that would be sick!

Yurgir's explosives don't cause Infernal Burning, but still a cool find!

He said it goes away after a long rest, which is why long term it's better to absorb the energy instead. Unless you want to RP a specific way

But how many intelligence saving throw are there in Act 3? IMO, not enough to make getting this buff worth the bother.

Ok ive been watching a lot of bg3 tips and tricks videos across multiple creators, so i am probably getting a lot of repeats, understandable, but i'm starting to figure out things that aren't being talked about enough, like the fact that Goodberry lets you perform free full rests if you can manage to make 80 Goodberries. I have scoured youtube for anybody making a video about this, nobody seems to care about being able to perform free full rests just by making camp casters, or optimizing warding bond across party members to maximize the amount of damage you can take across your whole party and camp cast team. Things like these aren't being flaunted enough. Or the "sword in the stone" Phalar Aluve that people seem to completely skip over, has 2 amazing buffs that do not require concentration and can be used by a party member that isn't using a melee weapon. These are pretty much act 2 tips too, considering camp casting becomes very juicy around level 5-9.

I prefer shovel to intiate surprise rounds. Then while in combat if you keep moving her around and activating invisibility enemies will go to her last known to try detect presence. Sometimes they'll waste a whole turn just to do that
