Uraraka is a good example of a female character written well. She's friendly, supportive and kind but can also kick ass whenever needed. Her growth throughout the show is realistic. She doesn't have to sacrifice her feminity in order to be powerful or independent. I love her dynamic with Deku so much, she was one of the few people who supported him so much from the beginning.

Because she was ruining other people ships. Especially gay ships. Well I saw a lot of anime character especially an annoying woman character who's in love to Mc and don't know how to put their feelings properly. So in my opinion. I admire Ururaka. She may not have a strong quirk but she is friendly and approachable as seen with how she interacts with everyone once she is in the class and not taking a test. She is smart using her surroundings, what she does in season 2, and with knowing that villain had a tangible body she could fight with when no one else knew how to fight it. She is heroic despite wanting to be a hero not just to save people but to become rich so she can support her family and care for her parents she still went in offering up what little points she had knowing that an opportunity like UA might not ever come again. She also treats others like they are really humans, and she is a hard worker, always willing to put herself in danger to save or protect someone else. She is also wise trying to improve on herself and trying to get new perspectives and views on life. She is viewed as weak but aside from her quirk she has the heart of a hero.

If they had paired Uraraka with someone in his twenties, that would have been messed up from the point of view of people in other countries than Japan. And don't even get me started with all the bakudeku shippers. People try to say that they ship it instead of what's Canon because the canon ship is "bland", but really they just hate it because people have a tendency be uninterested in straight ships for some reason. And I think because of that some really good ships that work really well go unnoticed or even hated without a good reason. People hate Uraraka because she's paired with deku and I don't think she deserves that. She's a wonderful character that deserves more love from the community and more respect to the Canon love interest...

There's two types of masses: inertial and gravitational. Her quirk nullifies the latter. The thing that makes things have weight is gravity, while the thing that makes things with more mass heavier than things with the less mass is inertia. So her quirk makes things "weightless", but the object she touches still needs more force to be accelerated just not as much as before. For example, if she wanted to move a 100kg object 10 meters a second in 1 second, she would need about twice the amount of strength to do that with gravity than without it.

But your still right with it not being accurate to just gravity manipulation since if the pillar weighs a ton then that scene where she swung it should have took at least 5 seconds (for the swing), and she would have had to been 25 times stronger than the average person to do it in the time that she did.
