All Saints Maidstone's back eight (32-0-20. C#) being rung down in peal on a practice night.

@MrPete81 Yes it is just swiinging it enough for the clapper to hit bell slightly!

I'm intriguied - when everyone starts backing off (looks like they're just rocking), is that still ringing the bell just slightly as opposed to a full pull, and then when all hands are off the bell comes to a rest? Apologies for probably the wrong terminology!! Thanks for sharing :)

I'm very late answering but; Yes, at the end of a lowering in peal, the ringers try to chime the bells at the very end (the very slight pulling). This is so that they can 'miss and catch in rounds', which is the most common way to end a lower in peal.
