Ikr!!! The whole Summer Richelle thing in season 6 and 7 seriously didn't make sense to me. I personally hated summer as a character and I fully believe she was handed everything in season 6. She came to the studio, Emily and Michelle watched her dance ONCE and decided she was better than all of the other dancers when she seriously wasn't. She was featured in every regional dance and they were even going to put her in the ballet number when we had NEVER seen her do ballet even though we know Richelle, Amy and Piper are amazing ballet dancers. I think she was by far the worst dance captain and fully didn't deserve the position. When Amy confronted Michelle about summer being lead in every dance all that Michelle said was that she had 'it' and she would be the lead in every dance. She didn't even try to hide the fact that summer was her favourite. Summer didn't deserve what she got and Richelle deserved so much more than she got.

That’s 100% true tbh. Summer was overestimated while richelle was clearly the best dancer by far, that made no sense to me.

the whole series portrays her as a selfish person, but in my opinion she is the only professional, she does what is good for her and the team, while the others do what is good for their friendship, and the only time that she leaves the team in the lurch everyone calls her a traitor, she is the only one who has to go after her things, the bitches win everything in the hand

She is better in season 8. I mean they portray her better and not so selfish, not that I think she was selfish but more had to contain her anger better.

The fact that Season 7 starts at 8:49 out of a 19:34 second video shows TNS realized something.

@@fareedaht that for 6 seasons they had not really showcased probably the most incredible dancer on their show. Season 7 and 8 have a huge amount of Richelle because Briar was GOOD.

hands down one of the best dancers the next step ever had

look at the first few clips, that was when she was like 13/14 and summer could’ve never beaten that.. richelle is hands down the best dancer in tns lol

briar just has the gift where u get mesmerised when she dances in could watch her dance any day shes so lyrically perfect and just makes her dancing so beautiful

Perosonally i thought summer was way overhyped on the show yeah she had good facials and skill but her abilities didnt even touch richelles she was an incredible incredible dancer on the show

richelle is an excellent dancer, the best i have ever seen

Bria nolet she’s an incredible and extraordinary dancer I love her she’s so clean when she dances and her stamina her flexibility is on point Bria is amazing 🤩 and hearing Bria’s story that she had sceziers it’s so sad but still she dances she’s so incredible ❤

It always upset me how summer was known in the show as this amazing dancer with great technique, but I’ve never seen her to 340 kick or pirriouttes like richelle has, and emotion? Richelle out heart into every move it felt unfair and strange because as dancer I can see emotion and technique in richelle, sorry if spelling is bad English is not my first language

Exactly summer had less technique,less strong at acro too I don't understand how Richelle isn't the best dancer on tns she channels so much emotion into her moves and her technique is flawless and note that no other girl except Richelle can do the b twist on tns No other girl can even turn like her on tns she never falls out of turns and uses all her turn outs, should I talk of her leaps they are so high!!!

@ang reo the reason why richelle didn't make A-troupe for a long time was because she was too young to compete at big completions properly like regional nationals and internationals I think miss Kate said this during her audition I THINK

This was just the case in season 2. In season 1 for regionals she wasn't there, in season 2 Kate thought about Richelle and Noah making it bc they were too good but in the end rejected them bc they were young, as you said. In season 3 Emily gave Richelle her place on A-Troupe but to keep it and go to internationals she had to win her battle but she lost it when she went against Max, so she went to B-Troupe since she was now old for J-Troupe. Ever since then she has been in A-Troupe every season.

I think the only reason that she didn’t get picked for A troup in s2 and 3 is because of her age and Kate didn’t want to put to much pressure on a kid her age

Ive never seen this show but richelle is giving Abigail from dance academy they did her wrong strongest dancer deserved it the most worked the hardest but then some random comes does the bare minimum and gets everything handed to her and then they use an excuse like she has emotion beeee forreall

The next step has to the most annoying plots ever. They painted richelles character in a bad way to justify her not being in dances or being dance captain or saying she is emotionless in dances, technically she's way above summer and her dancing is so strong!!! Just like demoting giselle to btroupe in season 1. Tiffany and Stephanie were not even as good as Giselle. But just for the sake of the plot.
