Like how varus lore is cannon, but his comic isnt, since in comic he is trying to find all other alive darkins to end the world. That was the theme riot started with. That they were beings from other world, trying to conquer runeterra and were trapped. But then, they retracted it, and made them fallen ascendants

Ok but for real, Aatrox's story is so sad, this man just wants to die that's the reason why he's challenging everyone he met because he hopes that other dude or that army can kill him, and I think in theory the moment he killed Pantheon(the aspect of war himself) that only strenthens his hope that he can die as well, because when Aatrox is inside that sword he feels pain, he feels the pain of gasping for air but you cannot breathe, he sees nothing but darkness, everyone in that state would've gone mad, and it is said that Aatrox is the most noblest and if I remember correctly he is the most powerful ascended god warrior in his time. Oh this poor man, f*ck you zoe

Did they change Aatrox's lore? This doesn't sound like the lore I remember when he first released, the demon that was always the last thing you saw on a battlefield, the scariest Demon. Like he had this interaction with Demonblade Tryndamere.. I need to re-read his lore cause I don't remember him suffering, but a demon that sought out war and killed many.

I love how ppl only see angry side of aatrox, but not broken side of him, like the quote when he talks about himself b4 he got trapped

I like how champions think they killed Aatrox when his host's body dissipates, but a fine detail is that his sword (actually him) still lays there, waiting to be picked up once more.

Aatrox kills gods. He’s probably the strongest Darkin, and probably the strongest among the ascended. Prob the strongest in Runeterra (obviously excluding Asol, Kindred, Bard and Zoe)

The only reason Aatrox keeps coming back is because he changes the host everysingle time someone hold the sword. Also it is most likely Pantheon is able to fight the big version of Aatrox(ultimate) since you can see Aatrox's head behind Pantheon's splash art.
