    Absolute tragedy that this film didn't get more Oscar's. Not hating but this film was so much deeper, well thought out, and more important to society than any damn comedy film like EEAAO.

    It wasnt really historically accurate. Take the tank scene for example. When the flamethrowers were clearing the trenches, they were ahead of the tanks. In reality they would be the last so that their allies can pass through. Aside from that, this is an awesome movie.

    My great grandfather fought in ww1 for Canada. He survived the war but one of his brothers died, the other was badly injured from gas but survived the war. My great grandfather volunteered for the war and lied about his age to get in, you had to be 19 but he must have been about 16-17. He didn't talk much about it afterwards.

    The Loss of innocence is so done well in this clip. We see Paul with joy and pride for his nation, ready for war. The anguish starts to set in and by the end of the movie, He's completely broken as a person. It's so sad to watch.
