I live a few miles from Hanko’s Metal Works. They build great heavy duty boats. Custom aluminum boats in south Louisiana are very popular. Just about every house has one in the driveway. We have so many places to get a custom aluminum boat built here. The cost of having one built Vs a big box store boat is a easy decisions. You get way more boat and durability for the money. Before my dad passed he built custom aluminum boats for people as a side job. He build his own commercial fishing boats ranging from 20’ to 26’. boats. One of my custom aluminum boats I own was built by him in 2007 1/4 stern, 3/16” bottom and 1/8” side flats boat. Love the channel man your doing awesome work.

That console is mint, it's not those fiberglass 3 feet deep consoles, its slim, its wide enough and its tall. The windshield on it is great too, just wish it had a bit less side walls, especially on the side windows, to make the corners appear slimer. Definitely a great boat !

I think it's a pretty sweet rig!

Liked the boat, wish you could have taken it for a quick spin and see what you thought. Repairs looked good, not used to that bar at the back, not sure if I like the idea or not.

Yeah me too lol. The bar is important on this rig bc its a work boat. It will spend a lot of time banging up against pylons, seawalls, etc.

Nice boat. Gator Trax also makes nice aluminum boats in Louisiana

I've heard of them, too. Seems like all the good boats come from that part of the US.

You should start building your own hulls . You have the skills man !! Get a couple navy contracts younwould be set.

wow I can't believe you've never heard of hanko's. you know work boats that's what they do. I have a 26 ft aluminum boat, that was made in Washington, and my next boat will be a hanko. you know they have the KZread channel. you always get more in an aluminum boat, then you do in a glass boat. unless you think shiny white gel coat is the end-all. they have a 28 footer that I've been drooling over for several years. that's called a fantail on the transom it's made to protect the outboard and give walking space for doing work. Louisiana is where real work boats in the South are built. we have several companies in Jacksonville that run them for work boats around the port, and of course all the dredging companies

Hey Matt. Just ran across this video. Repair job came out awesome. We have built thousands of these boats at our factory. The console crack is very rare. Of course I never like seeing one of our welds crack. Feel free to reach out next. Check out our channel. Next year i'm going to show more details about how we build the boats.

That t top is alot of weight being supported by the console and only 2 pipes.

@@TRICKEDTINS I'm all over their YT channel, and many look like they are made for 8'6" people. 7' is the high average of many T-tops, or other wise all shade is really gone.
