@@NTE_ Check out the 1993 roster and uniform mod by 2kfootballnow: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWShlKtmltqbqLg.html might make for a fun second video. The game gets easier as you play it. Throwing is the biggest challenge because unlike madden you can't drop back 50 ft and throw off your back foot. You have to let the game drop back for you

The throwing animations aren’t slow. You can’t just launch the ball from any position like you can in Madden. You have to plant your feet in this...like in real life

You don’t have to plant your feet to throw the ball in real life though. Not defending Madden just pointing out that there are a lot of plays where QBs don’t set their feet and are still pretty accurate.

@@owenstephens7634 only the really good QB's are able to do that and in the 2K game some players have that perk to throw on the run. But for the most part the best throws made in the NFL are made when the QB plants their feet.

I think he was attempting to throw to the right with a right handed QB that was running to the left.. Absolutely EVERYTHING about that animation was about as perfect as you could hope for from a video game

I literally said the same thing!

This was the first game where I was legitimately pissed that EA had the exclusive NFL license. The GAMEPLAY of 2K8 is actually better than 2K5. It's just all the NFL/ESPN features of that game made it so iconic. But yes, in terms of FOOTBALL GAMEPLAY...the AI, the physics, the responsiveness...no game has been better than 2K8 in that you never felt cheesed and if you made a mistake, it was your read or your missed hole on a run, or you trying to user the wrong defender too much. Some of the folks that have replicated NFL logos and teams on there have been amazing.

Esko Laukkanen at 5:26 the running back trips behind the line of scrimmage. A DE runs upfield and past the rb without trying to tackle the rb. Two defenders hit the rb as he’s stumbling. One gets a tackle animation while the other gets a missed dive animation. The rb breaks both tackles as he’s stumbling and picks up 50 yards. It’s definitely not broken 😂😂

Its crazy that you can actually hear the announcers say "Horton" and "Warren"s name is absolutely INSANE!!!

At 6:25 I was so shocked because the CPU running back actually used that block perfectly. That’s something you’d never see in madden

Man look at 8:55 the tiny detail of the animation of a defender doing a tiny hop over a receiver dive catching from a game over a decade. This is why EA needs to lose the NFL license.

It's hilarious to me that even with "Real Player Motion," All-Pro 2K8's running animations still look significantly more realistic than Madden's.

I remember one time in madden 09, one of my favorites, I was running with Thomas Jones for a 65 yd TD, and right on the 20 yard, he started limping grabbing onto his hamstring. Was out for the rest of the game, but made it to the end zone. It was so awesome.
