All PIAT shots

I put all the shots That I took with my PIAT into one video Some I have put on KZread and others I hadn't yet. I can't Find a couple of ones I recorded, and there are a few I never actually recorded unfortunately. Although they all fired, I have to work on the round and cartridge since there are variances in it, and the last shot, shows when you don't have a proper cartridge. Last shot in this video is what damaged my round and is why I Haven't tested more. When I make a new round I will put up more testing.

I know I'm a year late but I'm glad you actually shot a mock up target this time. really shows how much range, and accuracy the PIAT has.

The shots are not as accurate as it can be. Once I sort out the cartridges it should be much better.
I gotta say man you are the coolest channel I've seen on KZread

I appreciate it. But there are some channels out there doing better things than me. Iirc the channel wild life films has made and hand fired a panzerfaust, mine was just on a stand. And many out there designing 3d printed guns which are much more interesting than my stuff.

Outstanding !! I just won my first PIAT from gunbroker on Saturday (figured i needed one to go with the Bren , and all the enfields) im getting some very good ideas watching your videos.........keep it up your doing fantastic work to keep the PIAT alive and well !

You talking about the ones painted black? One of the few things that are easier to find in Canada and England than in the US. I've seen a black one with inert written on it going for about 700$ cad but I doubt they would ship to the US.

@@Stray03 yeah the black drill ones I can repaint and remark etc , im in dire need of displaying this with a spigot bomb , im chasing anything at the moment , I thought bren tripods and the PVS-4 mount for my AT4 were tricky to locate lol up till now I had never tried to locate a damn PIAT round

Look in the ordnance section of collectors source. Canadian site may sell you one of the 2 rounds they have. 695 and 795. Read their info section about cross border shipping.

I wish. the last shots with it were taken just after I put out the video on shoulder firing her. Just didn't figure a video by themselves had any use so I just put up every shot that I could find. Once I get the lathe going I'm going to build a new round and make proper cartridges so I can actually test the accuracy of her out.

Yup an old atlas. Even got a small milling machine that also needs setting up.
Did you pace/measure how far the projectiles flew?

Pretty much spot on for the sights. I think I set the target at 70 to 80 yards IIRC. The cartridges need a bit more work. And would like to find some originals to test also.
I must wonder... Did it recock itself...? 🤔

2 shots didnt. That was the yelling at the end. Usually it does if held right. Cartridge problems were the issue I had with the short shots.
What was your source for dimensions of the practice round?
