So far i have only played 1, cupid parasite, will start variable barricade soon though Been playing for 4 months and its a great and cute game and i like it bc it has everything, i love the art (i have every art on my phone not kidding), the music (listening to it rn), and the characters (i even managed to like ryuki who i thought i would hate, so far the one i dont like is allan but we will see when i do his route), and i love that it helps me relax too, i have anxiety and im always worried about everything but it helps me relax and not get worried for like an hour in my life which is already a lot for me Im starting gill route today i love gill

If you liked the funny elements of Cupid Parasite, I think you'll enjoy Variable Barricade too! Hopefully you enjoy Gill as much as you have so far enjoyed him, I think you'll be surprised by Allan's route :D

I found out about it because Reef Entertainment, the same people that made Cupid Parasite, recently made a game about one of my favourite anime’s “My Next Life As A Villainess” !

I agree I feel like Cupid Parasite was more steamy , was actually surprising that it was rate T here in the states instead of M like Olympia Soiree is. I mean I understand why Olympia is an M rating here because of those bad endings and the heavier topics but Cupid Parasite felt came on very strong. I think the voice acting in Cupid during some of the romantic scenes was very steamy.

Yesss! I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt this way! Raul's route was so mature, I definitely would have rated it M, same for Allan and then all the innuendos in Shelby's route I really wish more games were like it 🥲

CxM, piofiore and Olympia Soiree all have my heart, a surprisingly deep and good story otome for me was ephemeral fantasy on dark.

Completely agree with you regarding the Even if Tempest OST. I think it’s one of the best I’ve heard. In general I wish I could download more otome OST. I understand getting the physical cd, but I don’t have cd players lol

Cupid Parasite was amazing!!! A lot of people reacted positively in chat when Nightshade came up, so I'm really interested in that one - it's climbed up my backlog for sure 👀

Code realize is my favorite otome game ever so it was nice to see your different opinion since everyone around me also loves it. I wasn’t into the writing of cafe enchante tho so I was surprised it was done by the same person lol. Also CxM def deserves the top spot!

Yeah this stream really showcased how varied opinions can be XD Like one person would say "omg I love this game!" While others would be like "oh man I struggled to get through this one..." Just goes to show that no otome game is for everyone and that's ok. Glad to hear that at least you were able to enjoy Code Realize alongside friends 🥰

We have so many good otome games on the Switch right now it's incredible! My favourite one is Nightshade (love the story, the characters, the art)

Ikr!? I didn't realise the vast number until I made this video! We are getting spoilt compared to the ps vita days, and I'm looking forward to seeing peoples' thoughts on some of the future releases too!!! So many people have suggested Nightshade to me, I really do need to check it out XD

I just started Cupid Parasite and I’m so in love omg! Immediately became my favorite otome game (I only played 4 including this lol) the colors were jarring at first ngl but once I got used to it I started thinking what am I gonna do when I finish it I need similar games! (I’m literally in the prologue and seriously worrying about this lmao). Point is I needed to tell you that your taste in games is immaculate and your recommendations are everything!

@@SA-mv2ku I think if you don't know anything about Majima, it may be worth it! The reveals in his route made me gasp lol. So you know literally everything about all the other routes? Because personally the juicyness of info regarding the MC learnt during the routes was what made me enjoy this game!

My favorite is probably gonna change with more games to play, but right now it will be Even if Tempest. It was so good in general, but I also think that a lot of my affection for the game is coming from my love for Tyril. Honorable mention of Dairoku, if I am thinking of something to replay to just relax, this is the first one that comes in mind for me.

Omg I'm happy to learn of another Even if Tempest fan! Although it had it's "flaws" I really liked that game too - Tyril was 100% best boy for me as well 😁 As for Dairoku, I've actually heard quite a few people say they enjoyed it, it just hasn't appealed to me yet because I'm not particularly interested in slice of life right now 🤔 Maybe one day!!!

@@RestingPeachFace That's OK we all have different tastes after all. Like butterfly's poison is a big no-no for me. I do wish though more people know about Dairoku in general, because not a lot of players heard about it even among the potential audience. And it's a nice relaxing game with good LIs. Not a masterpiece but a nice one.

I like your deep thoughts on why you give each rating, I feel like we have a similar taste to visual novels

First off: Wow, Luli, you're literally spoiling us with content! Hope this massive vid didn't take too much effort and time for you to put together... I was about to mention Bakumatsu Renka Shinshengumi but then I read your desc and saw this was only part 1 of 3... Have you heard of it by any chance? Can't answer your question this time around as I've played like one fifth of this list... My Switch backlog is enormous Oo I'm also the kind of player who has trouble picking favourites and likes to pick what to play based on moods more than anything else, so I'm really grateful for just how varied the Switch locs have been in the last couple years! I hope that now that more publishers are aware of demand, the Switch can become what the Vita once was for JP audiences, and offer even more otoge in the future -so that we can all drown in our backlogs :D- (Pretty excited about your Top 3 though, since I've yet to play any of them and I trust your taste ^^)

It took a while but I think it was worth it with the enjoyment/help it may have given people! People keep mentioning Bakumatsu Renka so I'm so curious about it now, and the Byakkotai game too! The next will be about some of the lesser known ones such as that, which I'll of course have to use other peoples' reviews to make, but it'll be a fun learning experience for me too :) I'm also so glad we are getting more variations of otome games, it's also fun seeing what other people think regarding the games as opinions also vary so much! I'm looking forward to seeing what people think of some of the lesser known ones too :D Thank you for always commenting on my videos - the support is appreciated 🥰

i loved the video and comments during the live stream. I admit im one of the ones that buy otome games and play a bit of them all from time to time but its been awhile since i finished a route. ah~ i think the only game that made me cry was hakuouki demon of the fleeting blossom i do wanna find that in more modern otome games, for example i think a good one would be one of the ones im currently playing which is pretend lover it gives me the old school anime vibes like nana etc. paradise kiss. trying to figure things out while youre still trying to figure out where you are in life etc. i cancelled my preorder for winters wish cause of the reviews. and moved the preorder to shuuen no virche . ive also backed otome game touchstarved! the art is so pretty, and the campaign ends in 6 days. in terms of another game to play im wondering if i should get jack jeanne but i admit that im still hesitant....

Ahhh I remember Hakuoki! I only played one route and only in Kyoto Winds, but I didn't expect how things would turn out with Okita and I felt so depressed afterwards Crazy how much otome games can affect us. And I hope it wasn't me that put you off of Winter's Wish 😅 It's not that I didn't enjoy it, just unfortunately it didn't suit my tastes 😔 Hopefully you enjoy Virche 🥰

I enjoyed playing Sweet Fuse: At Your Side. It was lovely, the characters were interesting and Junichi Suwabe was in it. If only that game could come out on The Switch 😞

I think collar x malice is my fave now xD even takeru grew on me after playing his Route💖😸 im Like three routes in and i Took Long Breaks Just because i dont want it to end (i have the second Game too But still)

It's such a good game!!! I enjoyed every route as well, I love how it slowly unravels the mystery. I can see why you don't want it to end, but remember that there are lots of otome games available to play now that so many have been localised

When I made this video I was surprised by how many I had played haha. The lesser known ones will be primarily based on other reviewer's ratings because I haven't played many of them. One of my best friends and i have played thru a lot of the titles youve played/mentioned LOL and we actually think this game has more .... They made me smile as there were so many of them 😂 I haven't played steam prison at all, right now I'm playing so many, but I WILL come to it lol, a lot of people have told me it's dark and since that's my taste... 😁 Haven't played Ozmafia (and I don't have it), but I've heard about the triangle routes! Although the huge number of routes is what primarily puts me off >. Ahh ok, I wonder if that has something to do with the way the MC behaves? 👀 I'm looking forward to when I do play it, although I feel like it'll be a while before I get to it as it isn't a huge priority atm. I've played a tiny bit of CinPhen and adored it, but haven't properly played it because I felt like I should prioritise the games I paid for, for now. Although, I have heard several people telling me they'd want to see my review of it so maybe I should play it earlier than later 😅 I've struggled to get through fan disks because they're always after the characters become a couple, and the part I like is up to the point the couple gets together. I'm planning on giving Cupid Parasite FD and Virche FD a go when it is released though! 😤

Thought, if You don't know, maybe You would LIKE TO KNOW, that AKSYS at 8pm today is announcing releases data... Maybe some new otome announcement? Thin chance, but still. If You want to watch. ☺️

Returning here as i have a dilemma choosing my 3rd game! I'd love to try some new tropes, something new that i may enjoy so far i played Bustafellows and Cupid Parasite and currently thinking about Birushana and Code Realize. And omg I'm so PICKY that it's c r a z y! About Birushana i like the history aspect, i liked animes about similar themes tho the main character (MC) was a concubine in a palace so it's a little different, i like that you can romance the bad guy, but I'm not so sure about the story as lot of people say it gets annoying to repeat and idk about the MC tho i can't say why i feel like that. On the other hand in Code Realize i like the characters and MC but I'm not so much in the story aspect it sound boring, and the true route is making me irritated that's mostly why I'm still thinking about Birushana. I had to rant

Sorry for the late reply, you've probably already made a decision! But either way I'll tell you my thoughts anyway, I personally enjoyed Birushana a lot more, but I have got to agree that the routes can be repetitive in that you have to re-read the same wars over and over from different perspectives. However, Noritsune tragic end is my all time favourite otomate tragic ending, and Tomomori (the enemy) was a really fun character to explore. As for Code Realize, it wasn't really my cup of tea because I felt like they could have gone more in depth with some of the story parts. I also would have liked more romance, but of course with the chaos happening in all routes it's understandable that the couples don't have time to be getting all romantic 😂 I have made reviews on both of these games if you'd like to know more, but personally I enjoyed Birushana if I had to pick one out of the two, but of course we all enjoy things differently!

@@RestingPeachFace I've actually chosen Birushana! Right now at the end of Noritsune's route i still have the bad endings to do so I'm yet to see this ending you enjoyed so much! But i think that the pacing is a little too slow for me also i enjoy history but the facts dumping didn't do well for me. But I'm determined to see every route and the bonus routes of vassals! I know what i was singing up for when i picked up this game, i wanted to try smth i haven't tried before and I'm happy i did

Wow! So many games! I don’t own all of these and have played only a handful so far, but my top 3 on switch: 1. Cupid Parasite 2. Collar x Malice 3. Bustafellows This is pretty confronting since I thought I highly valued romance in my otome games, but 2 of my too 3 aren’t romance heavy 🤣. In fairness I originally played bustafellows not knowing it was otome and it was a nice bonus. The story and characters are good, imo. Cupid Parasite is my favourite and it is special. So funny and fluffy and good romance. My heart still flutters remembering one of the routes. I have to play many more of these games to be able to make a definitive list, but so far, this is my list. Love this stream, motivates me to play more games 💜

Tbf I'm the same as you! I felt like I valued romance more, but when I look back at all the games I enjoyed, the plot was one of the key things XD Hopefully you encounter more otome games and fall in love with them! Glad to hear that my video has motivated you to play more >u

I tend to play my otome games on switch lite because it's lighter! I believe some of my friends prefer playing it on oled docked so that they can enjoy the graphics in full though. I think it really is personal preference at the end of the day 🤔

I have CxM on Vita. One of my FAVE Otome games. You think it’s worth it for me to buy it on Switch? I don’t know. I was used to my Vita screen. It was fine. But after getting my Switch? Going back to Vita is hard 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

But after playing a bit of it and seeing all the errors, I decided to wait for the patch they promised before playing more. I have yet to finish it, as I got busy with other games. But I love CxM so much, I want to replay it before I go back to Unlimited. Who’s your best boi from CxM? 😆
