I use to have a leopard gecko and wasn't the best at taking care of her. So I wanted her to have a better home so made the hard decision to give to someone who I knew would take good care of her. So I highly recommend doing your research before getting a pet. It is more important than you may think.

I got to hold a python (with 9 other kids) when I was around 8. A reptile guy came to our local library. It was an amazing experience. I think that's the first memory I have of having such a love and interest in all types of animals.

Same here, down to the library part! I think it was a burmese python, and the people wrapped it around me. It was so heavy that when they unwrapped it I spun in circles haha. A decade later and I have a snake and 2 geckos :)

Same here! I don't what species she was, though. A reptile guy came to my school when I was in first grade. He brought several snakes and a couple iguanas. The biggest snake was Sue. It took about 7 of us lined up along her body length to try to lift her. I remember not being able to get my hands completely around her! She was huge! That was an incredibly formative experience for me because I've never been afraid of reptiles since. Maybe an arachnid guy sound have come, too. Lol.

In Australia you need a permit to own a reptile, which reduces the instances of impulse buys, and protects native species. And the types of reptiles you can have are specified by your license (like, my dad can legally keep turtles, but not snakes)

Hi Jessi! As someone who is going a long plane flight soon, I thought it would be nice to hear you talk about some of the common mistakes people take when taking some of their pets on plane rides, and ways to prevent them and keep everyone happy, Love your videos, keep up the good stuff :)

Daisy is definitely impressive. At the end, is she actually just holding onto you on her own without you supporting her with your hands? If so, that's some insane muscle strength right there (and pretty dexterous for having no limbs).

Fun fact, most snakes can climb, either by using the wedge strategy where they brace parts of their body in a tight vertical space, reach up, brace again, pull their lower part up to re-brace, and repeat, or, the larger species can climb stable cylindrical objects with a constricting ring method. It's fascinating to watch, highly recommend googling up gifs of it.

Boas can definitely do that. In fact they're so big most ppl have rules not to handle any snake bigger than they are without a second person. But lots of ppl like holding boas bc it does feel like they're putting pressure back, like it's calming for them.
Can you do the differences between snakes and legless lizards?

Legless lizards have eyelids and external ears. They have no grip on their ventral scales and are rendered immobile on a flat surface. Most interestingly, they have very long tails--up to 2/3 of their total body length--while snakes have comparatively short tails.

One of the differences besides the ones mentioned in the previous commitment, the lizard can lose its tail whereas the snakes can't

I love Leonard! I think legless lizards are amazing and such cool and beautiful creatures. I love reminders that the world has so much that is unpredictable and unexpected to share with me. It makes me wonder what I don’t know yet and will discover soon. In other words, Leonard reminds me of adventure.

Leonard is not weird just because he doesn't conform to your preference for legged lizards, his choice of rebelling against the "ideal lizard form" and ditching his legs makes him awesome! All of that was sarcasm, except for the Leonard is awesome bit, that was true.

Yay for snakes! I have four corn snakes -- a miami, bloodred, okeetee, and the prettiest, an ultramel, which is a hybrid of a corn snake and a gray rat snake. They're sweet
I love your place- and you speak with such control and confidence. I could literally listen to you talk all day. Thank you for being a loving person to birds and reptiles!
This was by far one of my favorites!!! They were all so cool! I can't even pick a favorite...they were all gorgeous too!

I love how you just can't hold back laughter when talking about your animals! They're amazing, and you're amazing for giving them all your care!
Thanks so much for sharing info about the scaly animal ambassadors! So cute! It's sad that so many of them were not properly cared for in the past, but I'm glad that Animal Wonders is their home now
So lovely how well you care for all your animals! I especially liked the leopard geckos, corn snakes, tegu and boa! I'm always amazed by the boa's calm and friendly temperament. She knows you don't want her any bad so instead of being defensive she's just calmly investigating you. Greetings from Germany!
I especially love meeting your rescues!! Thank you
Love your clips. Keep on posting
I love how Daisy seems to say "Hey Jessi, can I go there? and there? and there?" And Jessi just tries to keep her on focus.
Hi Jessi, I love all these videos and I appreciate all the work you do for these animals. I live in Michigan, and one of my favorite local animal rescues is being forced to shut down. They are called the Organization for Bat Conservation in Pontiac, and their various species of bats and other animals need new homes, and fast. I want to help but I don’t know what I can do except reach out to someone who I know would have the resources to help better than me. I want all these wonderful creatures to continue living happy healthy lives and teach people that bats are nothing to be afraid of. I know you may not have the space to take in any animals, but if you know anyone who would it could save a life. Again, you do such amazing work for these animals in your care. They are so lucky to have you all at Animal Wonders!

BookishLish I get so sad when I hear of a rescue closing down. Usually the animals are the ones that suffer the most. Thank you for doing what you can to help. I hope the best for all invloved. Depending on the animals in need and the requirements for space and care, we might have some resources to offer. If you know who to contact I can reach out and see what we can do.

AnimalWonders Montana Hi Jessi, thank you so much for responding to me. The organization can be found on Facebook as The Organization for Bat Conservation and Save the Bats; this is where they are making public updates. Unfortunately I don’t know how to personally contact any of the members, but their website is batconservation.org. I would think that the best person to ask for would be Dawn Vezina, the education specialist and program administrator. I’m sorry I can’t provide more information than that, but I so appreciate you taking the time to look into this. It means the world to me.
Nice assortment of reptiles, and sweet Jessi
Love the channel...The Crocodile Skinks are amazing. First I have heard about them

Hi Jessi I love your videos they have really helped me understand and learn about all of these beautiful animals. I have been watching your videos for long time now and I would like to ask if you could make a video about your parrotlet Sprinkles because I am thinking on getting a pacific parrotlet and I would like to know more about Sprinkles and parrotlets in general. Keep on making great videos bye❤️
Yes! I've been hoping to see a meet and greet on the reptiles!
You know what's kinda weird I found these videos on the reading website that my school uses. (I love these videos)
i love your videos ! keep it up ! :)
How cool to see all your reptiles! What a variety! 🐸🐍🦎🐢
Great Video Jessi...I love those lizzards and the turtles. (And the snakes too ).
Well done. Gives me a good feel for the monumental effort these animal rescues represent.
Hey guys! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and I have an ambition to get into the wild and research different birds and I admire you guys. Thank you for putting some much effort into caring for these animals and editing your videos very nicely!
You guys are amazing👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing reptile collection!
i love all of the reptiles, but blueberry, titus, and yucca makes me so happy!
I visited a friend who's housemate was, I think an exotic animal vet, she also had a few rescue reptiles in her place too. One was a blue tongued skink that was my favourite. She was rescued without toes, so she was a little clumsy, but totally charming personality still. She liked watching us and if we ever moved out of her sight we could hear her wiggling about and looked over to find her staring at us from a new vantage point. Super curious and friendly. I was charmed, never met a lizard like that before, but maybe I've never noticed them closely enough until now.
Awesome channel .Earned a sub
The most amazing thing to me about handling the large constrictors is how strong they are - pure muscle. Nice presentation.
omg your kenyan sand boa is huge!!!! i didn’t expect that at all lol mine is a tiny little thing. he is a boy tho so that’s probably why he’s so small
Please please do a video on Daisy and how you take care of, house, and feed such a big beautiful snake. I love animal wonders! Thanks!!
I used to have a leopard Gecko named Eleanor Roosevelt, who was already sick when we got her. We gave her a great sized cage, items she could hide in, and toys. Obviously a sun lamp, since they are desert creatures. She lived with my mom and I for two years before she passed away. We weren’t sure how old she was, but we had tried our best to nurse her back to health. I believe my mom and I gave her a wonderful two years, by socializing with her, Giving her toys, a good sized cage, etc. Now we’re currently more experienced, and we have two rats, Gracie and patches. I am very proud to share my experiences and watching this channel is very inspiring to be a zoologist. My final words are to Do research, ask someone with experience, and Know the commitment you are going to make when getting an exotic, or any animal,
So happy seeing the reptiles getting some love!!
That savannah monitor is awesome and I can’t wait to look more. He kinda looks like a mini Pearl
Awesome video
What a dream job!
love what you guys do and am working on the same thing though right now all we have is 3 beardies 3 sonoran desert tortoises and on salcota tortoise just 2 months old!
I think I must be so weird. I think reptiles are adorable! I really like legless lizards ! Have you seen the slow worms that are native to the UK? So cuuute!
Please do the "What when how" with Owls. Love your channel, keep the good work.
I loved this video.... will you be doing a mammal one?
Really really awesome
You’re videos always make me happy but there was just something about this one that made me extra happy. Maybe it’s because I Associate reptiles with summer for some odd reason but summer makes me happy so.

Oh my....reptiles aren’t my favorite but I couldn’t look away. Mr. Loki is gorgeous! Snakes...I cannot get over my fear of them. I appreciate that they are generally in the background doing their thing unseen...lol. Heebie Jeebies galore.
i want be like u when i grow up :) and i love reptills
Good video jess! I love lizards but they do look like they'd be hard to keep. Maybe a turtle someday. Love turtles.
So cute!
can you do a video on what to do with birds that have broken blood feathers? There's differing opinions on pulling or not.
Hi! Do you think you could maybe do a video about Guinea pig cage sizes? I have two Guinea pigs in a custom build two tier cage but I feel that it isn't big enough, and my parents are having trouble believing that, if you could make something I could show to convince them, that would be great 😄
Jesse you’re really brave!!!
When I have my own house I'm definitely getting a bearded dragon, they're so sweet! I love all of those so much, I would love to see your presentations. Also, the one person who disliked this must have a sad life without liking animals :(
Wilbur is super cute and Loki is so handsome! He looks like he knows it too! 😂
Terd is my spirit animal 😍
Next make the all my pet videos about your birds, mammals, amphibians if you have any
I love leonards face, looks like hes constantly regretting his life choices 😀
Love your accent!
I plan to own a ball python at some point, i would love if you guys did a what, where, how on the care for one
I love animal wonders and my favorite is terd because he is small and his name is funny
All of them are cute. I just can’t pick a favorite.
beautiful scaly friends

Reptiles don't actually enjoy it. They will tolerate being petted and cuddled, and they'll quite happily sit with you if they feel safe, secure or nice and warm if they're tame enough.

I had a corn snake for 15 years and I wouldn't say she "liked" being held, but she seemed fine when I basically just served as a "warm tree" for her. She liked to curl up in my armpit since it was extra warm.

Every time when someone asks me "what's your favourite animal?" I always say 'all reptiles', I love every single reptile from small snakes to the Komodo Dragon, some may want me dead but that's fine ^^ As a dragon on the internet I think this love for reptiles kinda suits me lol
