All of Me Proposal- John Legend
It was Christmas Day 2013. The moment had finally come to propose to my then girlfriend. I knew it had to be special, unique, and memorable. I had always wanted to do a re-invention of the scene from the movie 'Love Actually' and when the song "All of Me" by John Legend came out my vision was realized. The song was a favorite of my then girlfriend, Chanelle and I would often hear her singing or humming it to herself. When looking at the lyrics I realized why she loved the song so much...they were a perfect way to describe unconditional love for someone. So I decided to have the lyrics written on large note cards for her to read. I consulted with family and friends who would all be present that day...everyone knew except for Chanelle and her mom! As I approached the door with the support of a few of my best friends, my nervousness was immeasurable. I took a deep breath and calmed myself, rang the doorbell, and this is what happened...
