For sure!

The berring 3x (and all other 2x and 1x sight on that same tier) have no negative modifiers to aim/draw speed and you could feel the difference.

Finally. Needed this so bad. Been searching if there's an article or even pictures of what those scopes looked like. Thanks dude. This helps a ton!

I made the tulip because it was easier than others to make but man that eye cup around the lense really is too much. Plus like you said it makes a huge blind spot. It really made me hesitant to get another scope (afraid of wasting materials)

i literally just yesterday went and bought every green, white and a few blue sights to just test it out cause I was struggling to find a sight I liked for the VAL, ended up sticking with the sig sauer collim, but im glad you made this for people who dont wanna go buy everything to test!

Pickles are easy to get. One quick run hitting three stalker/bandit camps gets a good amount. Just don't linger on the other side too long. Get in, get the pickles, get out. If you get killed it's right outside the door to try again. Compare that to 1000 of X resorce and 1500 of Y with the spawn spread out further on maps when farming for hige end weapons/armor.

Now we just need the devs to make it so we can use the back up iron sights that many of these sights have as well as the extra RIS rail some of them have too for an extra RDS on a higher mag scope for CQB

By the way! Some notes: 1. You can get the Elcan Optical Sight (4x) for “free” from a side quest from the scientists in the bar, its a simple and short quest line that mainly revolves around the Dump. 2. The weapons which you can not inspect have old first person animations compared to the rest. Those animations dont have inspect on them so thats why you cant do it, Exbo might add new animations for the guns that need it though.

Honestly, I think I'd think about what kind of firefights ill be finding myself in. If I'm up close and personal, an SMG with a 1-2x magnification and little side-area will be good, whereas if I'm Medium-Distance, I'll probably want a 4x on an assault rifle and do short burst-fires instead of full-autoing. If I find myself forced to full-auto with an assault rifle, it'd probably go hip-fire instead. Anything above 4x is a dedicated sniper, and you'd probably want a teammate to cover your ass anyways, if you run dedicated sniper cause missing shots or engaging more than one enemy will usually be a death sentence for you unless youre highly skilled (which most people who play sniper arent). Your targets will run around and try and get close to you. so unless you have a good back-up weapon handy, your teammates want to cover for you. If you run dedicated sniper, you are probably gonna try and set up ambushes instead of actively seeking out enemies, so you will likely know where your enemies are coming from and then the huge side-covers wont matter as much anyways.

you should do an updated version of this since there are new sights also love the vids youve helped me get passed parths of the game where i was helplessly confused

i really really like leupold sight. probably my fav in the game. good enough zoom to engage targets at a distance but not enough to make closer range encounters a nightmare the only problem i have is that i need to get to the bar before i can make the ak rail to put this sight on my main weapon

Yeah that is kind of a drag. The leupold is one of my go-to sights as well. and now the Vortex 2x is becoming one of my favorites too

Its a nice one for sure, you may want to make a 4x or 6x to throw on for the shorter ranged sniping battles like the front of Rostok factory.

Thx for the vid. Would have been awesome if you shot it on weapons (not all weapons, thats too much grind). On the seeker AK or that AS-VAL, the M1A , and SVD if you have. So we could see the aim speed and recoil.

Sadly I don't have the SVD yet.

You can try increasing the FOV, it will help with some of the annoyingly big sights Settings- Graphics- then look for FOV (then adjust it accordingly, I have it at 95 or 100)

Mr aggro is the jesus of stalcraft I dont have any proof, bit i have no doubts.

Only 277 but that's across all my characters.

The 8x is best used in the SVD tree and the bolt action tree. The fire rate of the SVD is not too much for the 8x but the M1A is too much recoil for it.

I will, but I am waiting on this patch that's supposed to come out this month (January 2023). They are "re-balancing" some of the weapons. I know they said they are pretty much removing the one shot potential of snipers all together, and the VSS is supposedly getting nerfed, and possibly the AS Val. So I want to wait and see what all they actually change before I recommend people farm materials to make a gun that wont be worth it in a month lol.

I'm a bit late to the party as I reached the Bar not long a ago, but thank you for this guide. It is awesome and has helped a lot. I'm a solo aging gamer, and have always disliked PvP because its so damn stressful haha. But I'm here because of my love for Stalker, and this is finally a good opportunity to share the experience with friends. Any way, may I ask a question from a veteran as yourself? Grips? Should I go for the one with quicker Aim or the one with negative aim but better sway and horizontal bonuses? I have tried both versions from the garage, where the bonuses are small, and I cannot tell the difference. Any insight would be welcome =)

I love the PCLRS for most AR's because of the decreased aim in time, for something like an LMG you may want to test out the ANG4 to see if it combats the massive recoil the LMGs have, I dont use LMGs enough atm to actually know if its better. but the PCLRS grip is amazing all around.

Oddly enough, but the best sights on RU servers are considered. SUSAT is suitable for absolutely any weapon, Leupold is the best sight for every gun

Yeah lots of the guns like the twitch scar and guns from quest rewards have attachments on them that cant be removed. Just how this game does things

If you go to the barter tree and right click ( I think) on the worn sniper rifle it will show all available attachments that can fit on the gun, even the ones not available in game yet.

You can put 2 on the AKM as well, some have multiple brackets that can be on them at the same time. To my knowledge there is no way to swap between more than one though. Its more of a personal preference as to which placement you like on the scope.

front rail uses less screen real estate, back rail has cleaner sight picture but uses more space.

Good explanation, I tried putting the Leopold on the front of an AKM but it seemed too far away for an actual zoomed optic. A red dot would have been fine though.
