There's probably more money sitting on that table than my entire camera collection! I love them but can't afford an SP. I got a S2 that was bashed in on the back where you open it which was hard to do but I hammered it back so it all good now and I got it with the lens for a cheap price. I stripped it down and CLA it and it's working like a charm now. The standard 50mm lens produces a very sharp negative. One thing I hate with alot of eBay sellers is the fact they sell the body only. I noticed it happens on the contax ii range and also the mamiya c33 range as well. For a new beginner to film photography they then have all the hassle of searching for a lens and paying more for it. I search for a camera set with multiple lenses and then sell off the parts I don't want. Works out cheaper. Thanks for another great video.

I'm about to buy an S2 because I just love 50mm focal length lenses, and it's interesting to hear you talk about the S2. Currently, the price of a complete set of an S2 and a 50mm F2 lens is not too high. I have not seen a comparison of the quality of your 50F2 and 50F1.4 lenses. Hopefully there will be a comparison clip about Nikon S lenses

It is difficult to compare the 50mm f2 and f1.4. both are very good if you get the later models. earlier ones are not as sharp but have a more vintage rendering.

Everytime I go into a charity shop/second hand shop I hope to myself I'll find something ridiculous like an S3M or M39 mount Nikon 1. It's definitely wishful thinking but you do still occasionally hear of people finding leicas etc for dirt cheap. Yet again another great and informative video

My hope as well, sadly the best I have found were a basic Olympus OM1 set and an early Mamiya C kit.

For the dim situation, they have small orange filters that will screw over the viewfinder for Leica's, so maybe they would work on the Nikon. Wouldn't look as odd.

Nikon never made such a thing. The Leica ones only fit early screw mount cameras and are in no way compatible with Nikons.

I have S3 2000, the focus patch is very pale & weak making very hard to focus, I guess all S3 have this issue not matter is from vintage or from 2000 version
