@@Squared_Phoenix yeah, they all need to be redrawn for the graphic style to be consistent. Alternatively, everything else should be pixelated, but this option is worse, since no one uses CRT monitors anymore, and the pixel graphics look terrible on LCDs.

That voice over is really good. I thought this was official for a minute.

To my knowledge there are no new characters other than Welch but I'd love to be wrong. Looking at the changes to magic and the rebalance I'm thinking (and hoping) that other characters will be more viable now though. Magic looks a million times better this time round for example.

@@rikiachmadi983 Oh yea, magic's gonna be great. Just keep in mind that some greater spells like "Southern Cross" will still pause the battle. However, if those spells are able to multi-hit and deal more than just 9999 damage across it's duration it may be well worth it this time.

@@moebro101 Np, thanks for the comment ^^ I have access to all the skills and arts but I don't intend to make a video until the game is out, as they cause the game to crash when trying to use them. The list is basically the same as the PSP version so you should be able to start there, the thing is though they've been tweaked and spells etc are much more useful this time round, so it won't be completely reliable ^^'

If I may ask something about the remake, are there more mechanical changes besides Assault Formation? Particularly, I'm interested to know if we can actually recruit everybody in one go now. I know it defeats the double playthrough shtick and member lockouts, but I just kinda thought the bigger roster allows for more versatility. Also, the new intro shows all thirteen characters in one image.

From what I've seen the characters are still locked to each character. But if you played on PC im sure it'll be simple enough to do with cheat engine ^^'

A few questions please: This is in Star Ocean 2 Remake?! I can’t find anything about them anywhere else other than here! I thought party size maximum is 8. Do I need to skip all the other characters to have room? I also heard something about a character named Knoll. I don’t even know if I’m spelling that right. I can’t find anything on him at all. Not even the spelling of his name!

On the PC you can pause the timer with cheats, but failing that you can retry the demo as many times as you like ^^

We need a remake of so3 it has such a soft place in my heart even beating it over 10 times throughout the years.

I wish they would have left the symbology combining in the game. It would help make mages relevant and want to keep a few of them in your party at all times. Instead of just fighter that can spam killer moves.

@@Squared_Phoenix 10/10 with nostalgia 7/10 without You control one character & he can equip swords spears big swords & axes and learns new basic attacks the more he uses them. You get iirc 5 attacks you can set for each weapon- sword starts out with left swing right swing & you can get more hits in if you equip them left swing right swing left swing right swing etc but you could do left swing left swing right swing. . . you learn more attacks like jump slashing so you can mix and match them. You can kick any object/person in the world. Sometimes this gets you items but with people mostly it gets you into fights. There's not really any consequence for this except you might get a game over- but you could win a rare item or recruit the character if you beat them so it's sorta encouraged to kick everything/one. The story splits halfway through so there's basically two playthroughs. The game has new game + and technically a 100% reward(not exactly worth it) by playing through twice and recruiting all possible characters on both sides. You get three party members at a time and it has a Chrono Cross number of characters to recruit.

@@Squared_Phoenix I'm playing the Divine Force right now, I'm enjoying it although there is something about Raymond that puts me on edge. As for The Last Hope, I did enjoy it, though after a certain incident in game, mr Maverick spent most of the time on the bench in favour of Arumat.

@@philbourque9337 Ahh, yeah Arumat was cool, Edge constantly annoyed me tbh. Although when I played it I was a lot younger, maybe he'd annoy me less now. Hopefully they pour more funds into the next Star Ocean, the last few seemed kind of low budget imo

well that's disappointing, One or 2 main characters? Sure but all the support are just MC from every other game? Guess Cliff or Maria would break the game...oh well. Still hyped for Thursday.

The source is me using a cheat engine to spawn in the jewels, I would of shown more but if you try and open the menu after spawning in the jewels it crashes the demo as the data for the new Assault Formation characters isn't present. To be honest though, they also announced this info officially a day or two ago, you can find it on the Twitter if you don't believe me ^^ Also, their assault attacks were apparently data mined and they're: Ratix/Roddick - Omega Double Slash Fayt - Vertical Air Raid Edge - Celestial Sword Fidel - Ethereal Blast Raymond - Extreme Daredevil Laeticia - Ultimate Kamui
