Yes they are. the S class coupe is just fantastic. why would you want something more expensive that has an inferior interior. the only interior IMO that is better is the Pagani Huayra.

It ends up ruining the excitement for new cars. Look at Audi, at one point they had modern, fresh designs. Now they're stale and the cars just look like larger iterations of each other.

They kept the similar quad headlight design if you look at the led's, which are only unique to the E class

The C does have "4" lights, but the main difference, and it has pretty much always be the case for the E Class since the W210, is the strong separation between the four "lights". On the previous gen, it was a thin piece of metal, but now it has been replace with a LED shape. You can see that on both the S and the C there is a single eyebrow-ish LED shape (don't be fooled by the metal surroundings when the lights are off), while, as you can clearly see on the new E43 AMG photos, you have two pieces, with the lower and smaller one being very similarly shaped than the Previous gen's metal part that separated the headlights. Mercedes knows that's a strong point on the E, and i'm not sure they will give up that easily on it.

This is the reason i have subscribed to you guys... you've picked up recently from a somewhat downfall but still loyal to you guys... Great Job!

+Taras Tab I can tell the difference between all the Audis and the BMW's maybe sometimes I struggle with the X5 and X3 but the Mercedes c,e and s class all have the same style exterior

The way the interior goes, the style of dash reminds me of the one in w123, which was beautiful.

Great car. But to be honest, I kinda miss the brash and bold front end that the W212 models had.

This was very well done. I'm one of those people that isn't looking forward to the self driving car age. But, it's crazy how many people I know that really hate driving. It scares them. Now manufacturers are catering to them. Like the manual, the act of driving will soon be extinct. But, like you said, it's soo amazing to be alive during this age to see this shift in technology in cars :D

I bought one of these last year as my “winter weather car”. It is smooth, quiet and comfortable - but in order to change the radio station from a satellite channel to a local FM station requires navigating SEVERAL function menus and sub-menus on the console. Press “Radio”, wait for screen to respond, then use the scroll-pad to select “waveband” menu, then select “FM”, then select “FM Presets” and scroll through that menu of FM channels and press down on the channel you want. It is totally insane....I can’t wait for Spring to drive my SL550....

That dash... That's the first glass cockpit I've seen that is just done right.

I don't write reviews very often but the skies review was quite excellent and I like that he speaks very positively of automation it is very important for us to move forward with automating a roadways they are becoming overly crowded very quickly even remote areas. Humans just can't possibly think as quickly as computers therefore we can have them driving us around at high speeds and negotiating their movements effortlessly between themselves.

Quite instructive a review!!!!!

When W222 S-Class came out I thought that interior was already the best, until I saw the W213's interior. It's just incredible.

What a timely road test. The last Mercedes I owned was a MY94 E class which was quickly traded for an Audi S6 Kombi (UrS6) .. fast forward an I'm in the sedan market.I'll have look at the new E class gas w/ V6 or V8... Nice looking luxo sedan.......

Finally Mercedes are doing what they should of done years ago and see the E-class as something like a mini S-Class. The interior of the new one looks amazing and seeing that I would struggle to not choose it over an Audi A6 or the 5-series....! great vid by the way. Alex slowly starting to dress more like a MORGAN driver everytime i see him!

it has also sport mode, so you can also have very gt feeling

The auto pilot driving itself system could actually be extremely useful! I parked today in a car park and couldn't get out without having to smack against all the wiring next to me. This way you can reverse then get in!

IT is the perfect combination of an s class + c class and cutting edge technology!

This car is for people who don't like to drive? How is that a good thing for us then!?

It's not for the driving enthusiasts, but its more technologically advanced than any car in its segment. Mercedes are always inventing, they don't think backwards. If you want low tech with lots of fun driving dynamism go for a Subaru or Mazda, if you want a more expensive but not too powerful car go for BMW without the m power. Lots of choices here, and I think Mercedes right on the track as we all know whatever Mercedes put on their car, others tend to follow. Yes, even the more expensive brands.

NBASFAN Do you think someone that doesn't like driving (and would be attracted to self-driving cars) would even watch a video like this? Obviously not. Which means there's no point in reviewing this car on this channel. That was my point.

Good review. Not a MB fan myself, but little over 5 sec 0-100 Km/t - That is pretty fast for a medium engined car in this segment. The only major issue I have with the exterior of this car is the Headlamps, this Eylid cut style and the graphic shape is really not to my liking - feels like it is struggling to hard to be special. Mecerdes have kept this graphic for a while now but honestly I do no think they found the right one yet - The most recent Mercedes where it work the best is on the AMG GT, somehow on that car this style works well. I would not mind driving a MB but if I had choice it would not be my first option in this segment.

The proportions of this car are the most balanced of the three: not as cramped as the C-Class and not as pompous as the S-Class. They may look too similar, but this one is quite good-looking. This is the one I'd buy out of the three. Never mind that I'd rather have a Jag XF...

I really prefer the normal instrument panel to the new one because I feel the engine is the most primitive part of the car and the dials which read the speed, rpm and fuel should also be primitive. I would have no problem if they used digital screens for all electric vehicle models

+‫سلیمان ذوالفقار‬‎ I partly agree. I don't mind a screen if the speed is shown as a dial; I hate the digital number for the speed. reading a dial is much faster to read then the written out number, just like an analag watch; A dial is enough to keep in your periphery to read.

riemjann1 Analog dials are of course more then enough, but if they have to put a screen there, then atleast it should still look like a dial. Like I said, I hate numbers for something like speed. Not sure where this "trend" comes from, but it's stupid.

so far i like the outgoing restyled E class more. That one was more edgy, i kinda feel that the Audi/WV is doing right making teir last models quite edgy and sharp-lined.

Ok overall the exterior and interior looks stunning, but what's with the excessive ac vents??

The day the driver becomes an accessory to the car will be a sad day, what good is a beast like a Viper ACR or Hellcat if you're not controlling it, or only barely hanging on to the steering wheel by the tips of your fingers. But I guess in this sense it would be more like a CL65 AMG or a SLS AMG

6:24 for this kind of people, you need a *strong* public transportation network. so they don't drive any car Think of Japan, you don't have to go from A to B on car, you can do it by train. Because of this, if you want a car it's because you have a *desire* for it. Don't give cars to people who don't want to drive, give them quality public transport (i'm looking at you USA)

I'd like to see how reliable these high tech cars will be in around 10 years time.... My Merc is from 1978, has 0 fancy gadgets - but is super reliable. Also I like to drive - and not to be driven.
