I love this lesson on the different voicings on the left hand chords. I think it's very important and I will be practicing this technique over and over again. Thanks.....👍
Vaughn, I just think that this paticular (art - skill - or concept) of understanding how to "play in one place" (or the "sweet spot") is HUGELY important for all aspiring keyboard players to understand. Thanks for addressing this (along with everything else). You might be the only one that "I've" seen on YT so far to cover this very fly & professional musical concept! Thanks again and Good job!
This is fantastic! I always wondered how organ players could just chill in one spot. It’s all the spot rootless voicing. Seems similar to how bill Evans did his left hand. Very helpful man thank you.
I've been really needing your channel for a very long time. This video specifically really opened up my mind to what I need to really incorporate my left hand when playing.

Man this is really a good lesson. The simple fact that it's free make me feel bad for not paying. Thank you.

Great Lesson sir! Learned a lot
Thanks. Extremely valuable!
You do this well bro. Very good explantions.1
Hi Vaughan - Excellent lesson! I play tenor sax. I’m planning to apply your II-V-I voice leading principles on my horn. After that, I’m seriously considering purchase of the full set of courses. Thanks a lot. You’re a fabulously fluent player!
I love this. I am a multi-instrumentalist who dabbles on organ. I’ve been working on my LH rootless voicings for a while, but find it hard to come up with the right rootless voicing in my LH on the spot when playing a song. BTW; I’d say m7b5 (half-diminished) chords are pretty challenging to voice well in the left hand. Great Video!
Brilliant drill!
man this is great im gonna try this
It's like a talk music lesson as well when you slow down the solo part.
Thank you!
Good teaching I'm a beginner love this video

Outstanding lesson! I play tenor sax & am hoping to master your chromatic II-V-I voicings on horn. Thanks a lot. I’m seriously considering buying into the whole set of lessons.
Thanks for the lesson. I’ve been working on this exercise, but I’m go up the scale and keeping all of my notes within C and it’s octave. It’s enhanced my sound tremendously

Question - is it difficult for someone whose been playing with their right hand for years to begin to use their left hand for chord accompaniment?

Not at all, all you have to do is understand how left hand voicings works and apply what I call the "Shell" technique when you play. This gives you the perfect LH voicings every time without fail. If you'd like to learn more about that schedule a time to speak with us here: join.gospelu.com/masterclass
I find it hard to play most chords in the natural keys. It's simply because my fingers are a little big. Lol! They tend to get stuck and hit accidental keys. Besides that, my problem is just wrapping my mind to having two hands play as one.

Tell me why the hardest key to learn this progression in was C. After i mastered C the other keys were easy, even E natural was easier to learn than C😂
Is this effective for piano also?
