Yes Flame Tech, make it! Sell it both as a package with the Charcoal Basket and Drip Tray and by itself. I like the single handle, that allows for a few more square inches of grill space which is great since there is limited space on the weber when you are doing an offset smoke or zoned cooking.

I like it. Over the years I have never once regretted spending more for heavy duty stainless steel and would have for all of my grills if available.

Have one of these in my 22" kettle with the OnlyFire ceramic insert (using the 18" Smoke and Sizzle), would totally buy this. It's my go-to for hot and fast cooks or slow cooks 6 hours or under.

Looks good Tom. I would certainly consider it to replace the stock grate on my Weber kettle, especially if cheap than the SNS Easy-Spin. Does need 2 handles, though.

great idea! I ended up getting their (flametech) slow n sizzle you showed and then got the SNS Easy Spin Grill Grate so essentially the same setup... they should sell them as a combo package if flametech starts making their own version.

Great video, but it just shows how impractical the basic Weber kettle is... "THEY" (Weber) never think about these things, it's always the after market products to find the solutions to it's intrinsic problems.

Its been around for ages, and at this point, those 3rd parties are huge and numerous. Sticking to your guns and keeping the classics simple is actually good in this case, IMO. End of the day any accessories I'll add to a base kettle are quality of life changes. I could do the same without it. And in this economy.. just keep the price low on base model anything and that's a win.

Umm....weber already has a grate like that. Opens on both sides, and you can spin it. Granted, the opening isn't as large, but whatever. Mine works just fine.
