Great tutorial! There are a few things that I would like to do as well. First and foremost, I'd like to be able to have a quantity selector as part of my Add to Cart button. The other item that I would like is selecting multiple products before going to the shopping cart. I know that last item is doable with a list format, but I would prefer to do it from the grid. Again, thank you for a great tutorial!

Hi, thank you for your cool tutorial. I tested it but on my frontend website i do have a styling error. There is a bunch of CSS-code over the taxonomy filter. I dont know why? Anybody else with this issue? And maybe a solution for this?

Super informative! Many thanks for video. Maybe you faced with problem of Category sorting in Taxonomy filter for Woocommerce products? I have tag Months (Jan, Feb, Mar etc.) and they appears in Taxonomy filter Alphabetically, but better by month of the year. Months were created from Jan to Dec so have increasing IDs, and also 1-jan 2-feb slugs. I used several Plugins for category/tag sorting but elementor has it's own Alplabetical order I think.

Good question. It couldn’t be used that way. For advanced filters I’d look into WP GridBuilder. Or Jet Filters if you already have Crocoblock

Excellent video. I have a question: I noticed that when I setup everything, when I click a second time in the taxonomy filter, it refreshes the posts element showing, let’s say, a default post. Meaning, shouldn’t it, no matter how many times I click on one specific filter, show that very same result of that specific filter? Thank you!

Hi! Thanks so much for your video! I followed every detail, but it won´t filter unless I refresh the page, and then the posts category that was selected is shown. But when I am on the page without refreshing and switching categories, it just shows all the posts... Am I missing something? Thanks!

I’ve been hearing a lot of the same errors. I’ll need to test and see if this is a bug. Keep in mind, it’s still in beta and if you think it’s a bug you can reach out to Elementor support

You actually can't change the order of the categories, WordPress orders them alphabetically, so that makes the filter unusable for many I guess...

Anyone else having the problem where only the "First Item" actually shows up on the published page? When I'm editing everything seems to work fine, but when I preview, nothing shows up. Only when I turn on "First Item" the "All" appears by itself. Any help?

I'm trying, but it doesn't seem to work with TAGs.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! This feature definitely beats the nav-menu workaround to create a filter. The "only" issue I'm facing is that clicking an item in the Taxonomy Filter doesn't refresh the Loop Grid and in the browser console I get a 400 Bad Request error when it tries to refresh the grid... you're lucky that on your tutorial it works flawlessly... May I ask what Query you configured for your Loop Grid? It might be the problem as on Elementor's github issues they say the feature is not complete yet, and doesn't support all queries.

I only used the post, categories, or product queries. I’ve also using this with CPTs from ACF. Sounds like a bug or conflict

@@LytboxStudio Hi, just to update on this, if you (or any of your viewers) encounter it, I debugged the issue and the cause is that the URL of the archive page contained non-latin characters. Once I changed the custom rewrite slug for the CPT to include latin-only chars, it worked :) so I opened a bug on Elementor's github. Thanks again for this tutorial!

You don't need a plugin to show the featured image for each post. Use the image widget with the dynamic tag. I'll be making more loop grid videos that shows this.

I eventually made a great grid everything working great on safari but on chrome and on mobile the tabs are not clickable lol, thanks for the video i learned a lot of stuff but as always themes, plugins etc. often have these bugs i guess

Informative video, thank you. It doesn’t appear to allow for specific categories. I have hundreds of categories and wish to limit my grid loops on different pages to selected categories. Well-thought out, but still lacking an element that would enable us to not have to use third party plugins. Maybe someday that will change. 😊

I have to dig back into the category filters but if I remember correctly you can set them as links to their archives. I’m waiting for them to get out of beta and then I’ll do an in-depth tutorial on them.

This was a life saver until I realized that even though I finally have working categories, the individual posts don't open when you click on them! I've watched both of your videos on this topic three times and can't figure out why my posts aren't opening individually. Any idea what I missed in the tutorial?

Did you add dynamic links to the image, title, and read more buttons? Click on the dynamic icons and sent post url for those elements in your Loop grid

The cards are made with the loop builder. If you want to add a category tag in the card, add a header widget and use the dynamic tag to choose categories. Check out some of my latest videos, I do something similar in my ‘Sales Badge’ video.

@@danielaelias7201 Make sure you are not using the post widgets. It was not working when I was using the post widgets. But if you make your own post widget with the featured image feature title post info etc it worked for me

i htink it is a bit bugged with child categorires- it doesn't work

You can do this in the Loop Grid. Add a heading widget over the image, selected dynamic tags and terms. That will get you the category badge. Then in advanced on the header choose position absolute and that will drop the category header over the image. Use margins to move it and style it up. Also, don’t forget to change the H tag on your category badge to either H3 or H4.

It would be great if you could have only a few selected categories or tags appear in the taxonomy filter, rather than all of them. I only want one category and two child categories to appear on a particular page with a loop grid.

You can set it up to show only one category and move the one category to the top of your category list.

Nested Tabs - you put your content manually into the tabs Taxonomy filters - these are dynamic, only work with loop grid for blogs, products, and custom post types, and automatically filters categories or tags

The taxonomy filter is not "in beta" but alpha.. besides that no filtering for Custom Fields? Elementor want us to simply switch to bricks.

Beta, alpha, release candidate, this all changes with time. And you can use custom fields in the tax filter. I have a video I’m making now using ACF (free version) and Elementor with tax filters. But, I do agree on the Bricks. It’s looking like the way to go for experienced web creators.

I have no option of loop in Elementor features section!!!!
