Thanks for sharing! I was wandering if you could do a review of the WCM plus with a windows laptop. I have the RX1 HS, a Canon 1Ds mk iii DSLR and CamFi wireless transfer from camera to laptop as I am thinking about a 1 person setup. I am know that the WCM plus works with the HOT FOLDER from DNP to print automatically, as soon as the picture is taken. I do prefer a wired connection of hardware apart from the camera for health and safety reasons.

Great question. The interface is similar so that’s a plus. But the real difference is in the speed for processing prints and that’s due to upgraded hardware and DNP building plus from the ground up. Processing a print on WCM2 is 19 seconds. Print processing on a plus is 7-9 seconds. It’s almost 3 times as fast. Buying a plus eventually is the way to go. Can keep the WCM2 as backup or home use

One question: If the WCM Plus is selected for your iPad’s Wi-Fi connection, how does your iPad access the internet to set up the printer?

Your WCM plus works as an access point. You connect the Plus to your WIFI.

If my ipad is connected to the WSM, can I connect through the venues WIFI still through the WSM application? If not virtual sharing would be cut out. Sorry if I missed that part in your video .

Yasss the print count is new. The USB port is not recommended for WCM plus as it may be under powered. Buy can be used for phone charging :)

Quiestion bro , i just installed it yesterday, connected my ipad to wcmplus hotspot, went on the IP selected the printer (i had a wcm2 so i just did the same steps) but when im in lumabooth and try to print a test page it says "please configure printer before printing" it dosnt let me print, i tried reboting, restarting, openein the IP again choosing the printer again and nothing, do you know what can i do?

Connected wcm to my wifi network, and the ipad to the same network, I can print from photos app via airprint, but from Lumabooth it does not print, and wen trying to print test page it says the same "please configure printer before printing". Any idea how to fix?

Is there any way to adjust the output...color/brightness/hues/ etc.

No color adjustments, the plus is calibrated for dnp printers so they are pretty close if not dead on

I want to buy that server. How can i buy it? Im from Philippines.

Can I plug a Canon R6II directly into the WCM Plus then use the Ipad to see the images and print? Does this come with Party pics software? Thank you

It is compatible with DNP Party Print which I believe is a subscription. The WCMP plus uses the airprint protocol which the R6 does not use. You may be able to connect r6 to an ipad connected to the wcm plus to print. lots of software options in between, but NOT directly to.

… we can’t still print partial matte with the server it really bothers me. And it still lacks of a good ergonomic. . I hope it’s not too buggy like the WCM2. And i still don’t understand why they can’t power the server from the printer

USB c requires more power than micro usb. So cannot be powered by printer.

The aircastpro 3 seems to be a better deal as a print server for the dnp printer . Have a look

A WCM is configured for DNP only. Will NOT work by inserting SD card. The software is on the original SD card so you cannot remove the sd card in there.

If you can print from photos app on iPad and it works, then the issue is most likely with Lumabooth. Printer works, WCM plus is working, so that leaves…. #luma

@@Rexsphotoboothreviews That Pi model sells for $90 plus a $10 plastic case. Plenty of profit at $199. Plus there's a guy who just released the code to build your own on the lumabooth page. Same speed. I'd rather not have to learn Pi code, but price will be important.
