Tbh i never had any problems with craftsman tools. My dad never bought any chninease ones but they actuallly work well my friend uses them. In my opinion its hard to find a truly bad tool today.

The craftsman pro USA wrenches had been made by SK tools.

Really, I personally didn't know SK made those Craftsman Professional series back in the day.

Appreciate you sharing your knowledge with the manufacturing of the Craftsman Professional Series tools. I own a really good set of SK long reach ratcheting box wrenches, they are my go to set for certain situations.

They where made by many manufacturers, a reason why some where OK, other where outstanding. The most remember and highly regarded was the SK made ones.

@@andrestnt correct, Craftsman is just a tool name brand, nothing was made in a craftsman factory as they didn’t exist. Most tools got made by western forge, Pratt reed, Armstrong, sk, danaher and the apex tool group.

Great set of wrenches, the quality is on par with top brands. The RBRT is also nice, tho its not the full design. They removed a few theet to reduced the grip, why? Simple they cant step on the Mac flagship of wrenches. Lets be real now, i agree for the price you cant beat them. You can get the set for 60ish dollars, might be missing some sizes. Where else can you get a specialty tool at that price?

Thesnapon flankdrive plus didnt work as well on a siexed tie rod end after heating it up (siezed worse than usual) the craftsman overdrive was the only one who did it.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I've been quite impressed with Craftsman's new Overdrive Series combo wrenches and their OD socket set.

Thanks for the comparison. ..supposedly they are close to the mac rbrt?.. so I figured I check them out. My one hesitation is my “gun metal” or “nickel” finish has been disappointing even on a matco I got less than a year ago. If you have any updates after a few months of use let us know!

I have yet to find any of the gun metal coatings last. It is no where the hardness of chrome. Looks great new but my Matco ratchet looks rough after just a few months of hard use.

I am finding now a days that there are more and more tools that are just as good as snap on but like not even close to the price of snap on, Wright tools being a current fav, but craftsman impacts are not that bad for all my diy auto mechanic stuff.

I totally agree with your statement. These Craftsman Overdrive wrenches are really nice and the price point is even better. My Snap-On combination wrenches are great and all but very expensive. Craftsman has their "V-Series" tools, which is their top tier stuff... very nice quality.

They are a bargain considering the quality and comparison to some competitors.

Thanks for the video, unfortunately most of it was below the camera view. Because it has some groves cut into the opening does NOT mean it will preform the same. If you notice the groves, spacing, and even depth of cuts, it affects the bite and how it preforms on a rounded fastner. Is it a good set for a home mechanic, probably. Just because it has some cuts into the openings does not mean it will preform at a Snap On or Mac tool level. The steel itself is no where near the same quality. Having said that, I am a Craftsman fan, grew up with them and started my career with USA made Craftsman tools. I will buy a set of both SAE and Metric just because I am happy to see the Craftsman name. Now if they could only figure out how to be profitable making them in the USA. Unfortunately the Craftsman name is forever tarnished with cheap made overseas tools.

Thank you for sharing so much feedback and my apologies for the camera view. I actually just got a new Sony ZV1F for recording videos instead of using my Samsung Z Flip 4. I have a Gopro action camera but the audio isn't the best. Appreciate you.
