Thank you so much, Paul! This is exactly what I've been wanting to do. This definitely is easier to do with Captivate 12, as the variables aren't necessary.

This is very good information! Is it possible to do this without audio pre-created and using text to captions? And without images and just text? Or just hide the images for publishing? I would like it to look like a list. Sorry I am new to Captivate, this is my first time using it and I stumbled upon your KZread.

You would need to add some blank slides in order to generate the audio. Once created you would need to export the audio and apply it to the custom cards interaction the way I did with the pre-recorded. Simply turn off the components you don't want to see or turn on other components that you do wish to see. You could even use other blocks and components if you like.

great video Question. How do you locate the original assets? Once you load a quickstart project, how do you find where the images, audio, and backgrounds are on your computer in captivate 2024?

In Adobe Captivate Classic (2019 or earlier) each project file contained a library which you could access all the resources built into your project. In the All-New Adobe Captivate (version 12) they exist within the CPT project file but the only way I have discovered to access them is to publish the project to a folder on your computer. Navigate to that folder and peek inside the various sub folders to find any multi-media.

Hai paul, Why can't quiz results be sent via email in Adobe Captivate 2109

A published course would need an email server running in the background (not very practical). It makes more sense to use an learning management system. An LMS can store the results of all your students in a single database and the information can be used to run reports and keep track of records. If one hundred people took my course I would receive 100 emails and I would have to do something with that information. There are many low cost or free LMS out there that you could use. Just google "free lms" to find one that suits your needs.

Hi Paul, great video thanks. I'm building a class using text (English) to speech (arabic) for translation. Is it the case that you can't add audio as interactions to the separate click throughs on a widget slide? I've been trying but seems like you may have to build from scratch like you have here.

That's correct. Let Adobe know this is something we all want. Provide your feedback to them here: www.adobe.com/go/cp_user_voice

Dear Mr. Wilson, My name is Momen and I work in a company called E-mircolearn based in Palestine. We are working with LMS specifically E-books that contain activities created using adobe captivate. We need help figuring out how to connect the API key to the LMS, to get the activities and quizzes results.

Adobe Captivate can publish to one of four elearning reporting standards: SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC, and xAPI (sometimes called Tin Can). Knowing which standard your LMS uses is the first step. I would reach out to the supplier of your LMS software and ask them. Alternatively they may have documentation that would help you with this.
