I must say, I feel like Andrea really loves powerful cars, she always has an ear to ear smile when she drives a power and good handling vehicle
I was originally considering purchasing a Toyota Grand Highlander, but after watching your reviews of the new 3-row SUV CX90, I am completely swayed. This powerful machine is a game-changer in the world of SUVs, with its sleek design, top-of-the-line features, and impressive performance on the road. The CX90 provides an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride, and its handling and acceleration are simply outstanding. The attention to detail and overall craftsmanship of this vehicle is truly remarkable. Thank you so much for all your great work!

Toyota is one of the shareholders of the Mazda company, so even if you buy a Mazda, Toyota still benefits from selling them (mazda products). From what I know, the hybrid engine or hybrid plugin used on the Mazda is a Toyota powertrain, namely a 2.5L 4-cylinder plug-in hybrid (maybe it could be said to be the same engine as the RAV4 Prime or Lexus NX450H+).

Awesome video and awesome product, what can I say? I’m enjoying it as I’m a long time Mazda fan and now that Mazda is pushing their product to the semi luxury category with a mainstream price I am confident that Mazda is the brand to beat in the coming years.
Totally agree on the captain's chairs....Our kids are long grown but our dogs do not need or like them, LOL
Mazda has been producing some really great products recent years, they are aiming luxury brands for mainstream price, very good indeed. Although I have to say CX90 is really pushing for luxury brand pricing now, still a very good product though.
Great review. I agree with you regarding the limitations on seating in top trims. Normal arrangement is 5 seats and use of third row is on occasions. Second row Captain chairs should be optional and bench seat standard on all trims.

I’m just gonna guess that Mazda figures buyers who want to seat five in the front two rows on a regular basis are going to choose a larger vehicle, even in this segment - or if that is a priority and you want that in this vehicle, you will be happy with the lower trims. I get that doesn’t apply to everyone; they either have to force some trade-offs, or else absorb the cost of greater build complexity.

@@trumpisastump9382 Have you ever worked in an automotive assembly plant?? Offering another build option - especially one that is going to involve different critical safety options such as seating - can mean different floor anchors, anchor points for the belts, installation of the center console, etc. Big bucks to accommodate that, in terms of inventory, manpower, and making sure it's not fucked up (quality control). Now you have to either build that complexity into a special-order factory option, or else add yet another variant (inventory cost) into the cars that sit on dealer lots. That's why Japanese makers go with models and packages instead of individual options at the factory.
I really love your channel. You cover things that many do not. I'm saving for a new Mazda CX-5 some time in the next year or so. Great review. It's definitely a good-looking vehicle!! Tastewise, the exterior is not for me because it seems too bubbly. I like a tad more angles on the exterior design, and that is why I got the MDX two months ago. I think if this CX90 had the hood configuration of the CX9 I would be all in. The only reason I didn't get the CX9 was because it didn't have a V6 option. But that CX9 has such a stately appearance. I still do double takes when I see one on the road. Great job guys!!! Safe travels back to Florida.

Hey guys. Great reviews. I want to know how either the phev or the inline 6 compares to the nx hybrid when it comes to quietness as well as refinement when going over bumps and bad roads. I realize this might seem like comparing apples to oranges, but I am on a list for a top tier nx hybrid, but if this cx checks all the boxes, I might cancel the nx and wait for the smaller cx-70. I am just a little reluctant because I heard some of the reviewers complain about not being the quietest in shielding against bad road surfaces. Everyone talks about how much fun it is to drive and the powertrains but Mazda might have sacrificed comfort and cushion for power and handling. If you had to choose between a cx70 and a nx hybrid, which would you choose?
Great review, love the Mazda look and style, currently drive a 22 CX5, which I love, but wish I had more rear seat room for child seats for grandkids
Very fun review! Go Mazda!
It appears that Andrea was enjoying driving the CX-90, with Zach holding on for dear life! Also, regarding the seating configurations, remember the original Chrysler Pacifica? Three rows, but only room for six. I agree that Mazda (and its competitors) should offer seven or even eight passenger seating on its higher trim levels. Not every customer for a vehicle like this wants or needs only six passenger seating. I think Mazda (and others) do this to simplify manufacturing (fewer options).
Great review! I have no need for a vehicle in this class but if I did this would be the one. Love the color.

What a great red!
I agree, a Mazda CX-90 buyer should be able to order the type of seating that they want/need as an option, especially when going with the top trims.
My favorite color on the road! It's just gorgeous!
Great looking! Getting a bit of Lincoln Aviator vibe in the profile...? Good way to go! Thanks!
Superb review! If this is a prelude to the CX 70, I'm ready to lay out some serious coin for the CX 70!
Wow that is a looker! I LOVE that red paint (and I'm not a fan of red but that deep sultry red, oooh!), love the look of the interior with the wood trim and the light color... I laughed at Zach's comment about the shifter (that does look silly). Great review guys! Hey I am curious, what is the difference between an inline 6 and a V6, I mean I know what they look like but why one over the other?
Nice!!! Nice to see the best drive the best ! 👍😄 Can you also drive the base 3.3t on 19s , a low 40K car?
They had been talking about it for years, & I have seen how far they have come is very impressive. It's no surprise they won me over from Honda. I also live in B.C. so my MX-30 works for me.
The power difference between the high output inline 6 and the standard output is not just due to tuning and premium fuel but also due to another 5 psi of turbo boost.
So early 😂 I thought you are in Vancouver so Do you wake up early
That vehicle is a beauty. Mazda has raised itself to be a premium brand. The wet clutch 8 speed matched to two different tunes on the torque inline 6 is magic. I can't wait until we see what is next from Mazda! The CX90 is beautiful inside AND out. Well done Mazda.
This is a beauty. A class leader and above. Looks more desirable than an Atlas. The colour is spectacular. I want one.
Looks nice.. interior design and exterior 👍🏽
The CX-90 MHEV looks awesome.

This is really the beginning of a new chapter for Mazda, everything about this new model is fantastic. Personally I'm still waiting for more details on the CX-70, the 90 is way too big for my liking, especially since it can't even be spec'd without the third row.

@@Brian-jv8iyI don't agree with your analogy. Honda weakened their engines and worsened the driving experience in the name of fuel economy ( and maybe due to cost cutting). Mazda has developed a large SUV with a powerful engine, mild hybrid, and made dramatic improvement in their interior design, and has still kept it priced below that of a similar luxury SUV. My concern is NOT that Mazda will fail, rather that the price of this vehicle will increase significantly as it is appreciated by the market. And, there is something to the "made in Japan" thing.
I can appreciate Mazda for the effort they bring to all their models. It can be seen/felt and not just listed on the monroney sticker.

Maybe a Rwd premium sedan by 2025-2026 ala BMW 5 series. Maybe a halo performance sports car. They have a lot of options. Their hard work paid off.
Love that you all get really into the second row setup of bench seat v. captain chairs. I agree completely that I hate when brands take away the bench seat option as you move up the version scale. And most of them do it, including the Chevy Traverse, which never made sense because I don't see why anyone would buy a Traverse if they weren't carrying around a lot of people. Thanks for the thoughtful review.
@Motormouth, How do noise and comfort compare to the MDX?
You guys are consumate professionals.
I’ve never thought highly of Mazda, but this is a nice change.
The RX-7, the Miata and now this. They are always good at their take on specific market leaders. This is the better Germany version of a SUV. I would get this instead of the GLE in an instant. Good job Mazda.

I don't understand how the GS model even exists. Mazda claims they're moving into the premium market yet they come out with a trim with cloth seats and no sunroof? That's not the definition of premium....
I agree with your point on the middle seat. We just ordered a BMW with a high level of trim and selected the bench middle seat. If your buying a vehicle with 3 rows why would anyone want to have only one extra seat?
I have to agree that not having a bench seat in the second row is a mistake. We went with a Lexus over Toyota, Mazda, etc because we use the back for the dogs but need to have seating for five. Looks like a good product. Enjoy your presentations and they are very helpful in researching vehicles.

top trims to get memory driver seat?? It looks like a competitive product but some of the oddities in the trim selection might keep me in the MDX
Beautiful vehicle, but as someone who likes to have all the bells and whistles, and also someone who likes to be outdoors and do a lot of camping... this vehicle is a complete deal breaker for me. That's why the new Pilot is so great, 8-passenger seating on all trims except the TrailSport. People want to buy the top trim with a bench seat.
We're in the 3rd act of life and would rather have a bench 2nd row since it's always folded down and we want something flat all the way across. We've had passengers twice in the last 3 years, but carry lots of 'stuff' around from here to there.
The unavailability of 3 seat 2nd and 3rd rows in the upper trims I attribute to the size and scale of Mazda as a carmaker. Heavy levels of options and customization are typically reserved for either the most mass market brands or very expensive luxury brands. Mazda is neither despite competing with both. I don't think that is a bad thing except in this case.
I also want bench seat on the 2nd row for the top trim 🥲
Don’t know if I can get behind the middle strip on the seats
