I have been a native deoderant user for the past few years and have loved it but they don't ship to Canada anymore and I'm not spending $20 to buy it at my local pharmacy or grocers. Wow, Ellen, thank you for sharing such wonderful recipe❤🙏. I have been making our deodorant, without baking soda, for some time now (the kind of creamy one that you have to use your finger to apply it on your armpit 🤷‍♀️) but I have been wanting to make the solid bar version, and I have looked at way so many recipes...😲 so your video has just come at just perfect timing. I buy coconut oil right from a family that live in the countryside, regular melting point I would say (I infuse it with sage for 40 days to make the deodorant) and since I don't have access to mango or shea butter I will try this recipe with tallow, using a little less amount than your recipe calls for 🤔... I think it will work just fine. I will share how it turns out. Btw, I still make your tallow balm recipe, I even make it using sheep tallow that I render and deodorize myself, and even though it's a long tiring process the wonderful ginal product is really worth all the hard work. Once again, thank you very much for everything! May the Lord continue to bless you and watch over you and your family. 🙏

Also, if you melt your big bottle of coconut oil, you can transfer into a clean bucket for easier scooping! I save all of my buckets from WSP or where ever to do this. Hi Hellen. I was thinking that, if you use 76⁰ coconut oil, as the melting point is lower, it could work with a harder butter, like cocoa butter, and even use a slightly higher percentage of beeswax. I'm from Portugal, and in the area where I live, it's very hot in the summer, so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to use a harder butter or a little more bee wax. Thanks for the video!

Hi. Thanks so much for this video. I didn't make your recipe, it came out great, it form how i needed it too, the smell is really good. BUT. the only thing was it didn't keep me from sweating and smelling. It was really bad. But I had some one else to try it as well and about the same. We was thinking maybe because we are in the detoxing our body and eating healthy, because it plays a part . and we move around a lot .. I was thinking about adding - a little Koalin Clay . I read what it helps with , which is what we were experiencing. . Not sure if I could keep the root powder in too?

Hi Ellen, I’ve made my own liquid deodorant in the past - for rollers. No recipe just utilising ingredients I’m familiar with their efficacy. Including making an Extract from sage in my garden. I’m curious with these lovely creations - do you find either oil marks on your clothes or white grit from the Baking Soda? 🙏

I’mnot a medical professional but I think what causes odor is bacteria, so unless we’re able to control bacteria growth, we’ll be masking the odor but not preventing it or eliminating it. I wonder if using honey would do the trick, though it would probably make the bars sticky, so I don’t think just adding honey to these recipes would work, I think the recipes would have to be reformulated. I wonder if the baking soda has an anti-bacterial property… I do think it probably helps keeping the armpits free of stains, which is nice. Thank you for your video, I love your channel.
