all those additions should have been part of the orifinal legendary, and the mythic variant should only have been a chroma with recolored vfx. the legendary should keep its original price and the chroma should stayed 40 ME.

dark cosmic erasure jihn was the best joke I've seen from riot so far..

Calling it "new" vfx is an exaggeration when its just a colour change for 200$

It does have some very minor extra vfx on 4th shot... Try looking for a breaking asteroid animation on the 4th aas But yeah, its extremely minuscule and underwhelming, specially for the price

The inconsistencies in this is just laughable and kind of sad at the same time (sad mainly because of the lee model they started to apply by gimping/nerfing lower value content, more on that later) 1) Jhin's one is literally the same quality of a a mythic chroma with extremely small distinguishing extra features 2) Ekko's is the first one to kind of change the model a bit, but the features are extremely minimal as well 3) Lee is the main problem for this. Both heavenscale lee sins are kind of ugly to me and much worse than other skins, but what makes this saddening is the fact that they stripped out features they could have easily added to the regular one. This kind of release iterally says "you won't get any more new unique skins, you will always get a gimped down version even on high tier skins as legendary just to have an excuse to justify selling a gacha skin"... Luckily for us, this skin is ugly and Lee has much better skins, but this skin is literally what is wrong with these gacha skins, the fact that Riot goes out of their way to sabotage and gimp down new releases, making it unlikely for us to receive content with incredible quality 4) Yone.... WINGS... thats it, thats the review 5) MF... here, have the shittiest penta animation yet, a couple years old 30$ "ultimate" skin has a better penta animation and a couple 3 year old 20$ legendary skins have MUCHHHHH better pentakill animations So yeah, 200-500$ skins aren't really bad for the game, in fact catering to the whales is a good thing for the game's economy What is fucked up though, is the fact that Riot is going out of their way to gimp and nerf a skin's quality to justify a higher value one (look at the 50$ ahri skin, its stripped out of so much quality it feels incomplete when compared to the 500$ one)... So yeah, Riot is pretty much telling us "you guys will never get a great skin again, just unfinished products, unless you dish out 200$+ for it... No more Battle Queen Katarinas/True Damage Ekkos/Winterblessed Dianas/Empyrean Pykes for you, all you will get are watered down legendaries now that some times even feel unfinished (like heartsteel kayn for example... good quality skin, but it could have been SOOOO much better if they actually cared) Edit: forgot to mention, mythic chromas for legendary skins although very expensive were a cool thing, sadly they got discontinued because riot got greedy and dont want the mythic chromas to compete with their gacha skins, which again is them being scummy towards f2p and freemium players who could have saved up ME for a special chroma for their main (i personally think some asshole like ken adams is fuming that we got gs zed, ba ez, hn lucian chromas for 40me instead of 200$ )

You forgot a few details on Ekko and Yone, Ekko’s Q has colours that you can call them rgb but at the same time not because they are very specific. As for Yone the W is cleaner and more blurry (no carvings or scratches but because of this it’s easier to spot a hidden detail that happens during e which is the hands that go across the top of the arc) the azakana is different, new model details (feathers on the bottom of his coat and a scarf around his neck instead of the hellish detail and new sword on the right hand) and his ult has different vfx patterns during the cast.

I'm glad that this wasn't a thing when the dragonmancer Yasuo skins came out lmao. For sure Truth Dragon will be $200 and Dream Dragon will be the base Legendary

League took such a nosedive ever since prestige skins were announced

If they gave me one capsule on the pass and i pulled one of these *except Jhin* i wouldn't mind

All of these are still not worth the price. I saw one of the comments about the whole mythic variant thing, I can understand the commenter's pure despair.

It is their way of saying '' hey ... we can actually milk this!'' I remember the time where they would bring out 975rp skins, and rarely 1350rp skins. 1820rp for a skin was some mad lad sh*t. but people kept buying, so they kept making where it lead to 3250rp. Then they decided ''you know what, what if we made 100$ skin??'' which actually worked, and now we have 500$ skin .... Dont be surprised if we see like 1k$ skins in the future for some ''ultra rare occassion'' which wont be actually ultra rare or anything...

They take off transformation like Senna or nami because it will distract and are unnecessary. But then they add a whole ass animation of killing a dragon like wtf

Variants skins used to be skins with same animations but slightly different model and voiceline, and different vfx. At least that was the case with the 3 first one (Leona, Lux and Soraka) Yasuo was already just "everything the same but recolored" except for the VO But those "variant" are just a freaking joke, rocolored vfx, minor model change and laughable new extra feature. No skin is worth 200$ but if at least they were like Cosmic and Dark Cosmic Lux (totally different model, vo and vfx) with some new extra feature it would be a bit better.

i bought the 200$ jhin skin as i am a jhin otp and have every single skin and chroma for him except DWG Elite which i didnt play when that chroma was released :P, everyone sees 200$ and complains, i see spend 200$ and get 30 skin shards, decent rng got me 8 legendary skins (20$ each, 160$ total) 7 epic skins (10$ or so each, 70$) couple legacy skins which were roughly 10$ each as well, and the rest were crappy skins 5$ each, for spending 200$ i got a chroma which i mainly got BECAUSE i prefer the color scheme of erasure, i also then got peacemaker high noon yone off of the capsule in the battle pass so yay i guess, but look at it this way, spend 200$ for 30 skin shards and a decent potential for legendary skins

That doesn’t change the fact that $200 for a chroma is still a joke. If you collect skins and spend a lot on this game, it’s logical that you should get something as a reward for having a complete collection. Instead, the game wants to squeeze every last cent out of you. $200 skins are very profitable for Riot, so I guess it’s only a matter of time before popular champions like Jhin get a second version or even more that are even more expensive and still only change the color. Besides, if you’re a one-trick pony, why do you need large quantities of skins from capsules? If you only play one champion, you won’t use them, and even if you do, it will be rarely.

@@Terty value of the account ig? the main point is is that its worth buying a 200$ skin if its your main champion, because you will likely get enough skins that you get more then what you pay for, atleast it isnt a 500$ scam skin that ppl have pulled out loans to buy #PermaBanAhri in various league discords ive sadly seen roughly 200 different ppl with the 500$ skin, 30 of em otp ahri, 20 main ahri, 3 of em mained leblanc and the rest didnt even play ahri, roughly 80 ppl with the 250$ skin, all ahri players, not mains or otps but they play ahri relatively frequently, and like 25 ppl with the 50$ skin, EVERY single person got mad at me for banning ahri lol, even though its my lobby they joined and i was nicked #PermaBanAhri lmao

Frankly the only 'good' one imo is Yone. I was hopeful for Miss F after seeing them doing more with the mythic scams but it's SO BAD.
