All My Favorite Watercolor Paint Brushes - Brush Collection

Ойын-сауық

I've tried a lot of art tools over the years, and I've got to say, Princeton brushes really stand out for me. I regularly use the Aqua Elite, Velvet Touch, Heritage, and Neptunes. They're durable, give me consistent results, and are just a pleasure to work with. If you're serious about art, I'd recommend giving them a shot. They've become a go-to choice in my toolkit.

I have a TON of brushes. I have 2 stands that are full, plus lots more in pots and some in brush rolls too. I started painting in oils which I loved, then did some watercolours, then moved more into acrylics. My brushes have been accumulated over many years - which is why I have so many. But I've recently taken up watercolour again. (Having forgotten all I knew!) And I'm suddenly aware that most of the brushes I pick up to use are always shedding hairs. I hate that! So I'm now wanting to get some better quality watercolour brushes. I love this video you posted and will recommend it to my viewers. I'm especially interested in the quill brush you demonstrated. I'd LOVE a brush that does washes AND details. Finding good detail brushes has always been a big problem for me, since my favourite detail brush is usually one that's lost most of its hairs over time. So this quill... It's Princeton, obviously. And Aqua Elite? Yes? Not Aquarious? Does it keep its shape well? Is it synthetic or real hair or a mix?

Thank you so much for the kind comment and for the input. I really love that quill, it is one of my all time favorite brushes. It is a Princeton Aqua Elite Series 4850 Synthetic Brush - Quill, Size 6, Short Handle. It is made with synthetic kolinsky and it keeps it shape well. I am pretty hard on brushes and they last me 6 months to a year. :D

By the way, what is that bent brush? I had one of those in a set, I'd never seen one before - no idea what it's meant for. Can you explain?
