This was redemption for Phelps. He had so many issues in his life in the previous Olympics and he just couldn't end his swimming career that way... So he worked hard, came back in a totally renewed head space with his life going in the direction he wanted it to go, and finished as the GOAT he is.

MANUEL TEACHER DE INGLÉS no, but that’s what he specializes in. You’re not gonna see a sprinter do the 800m or the 1600m. He’s a sprinter, so he does the 100m, 200m, 4 x 100m and he could’ve done the 400m but ig that’s not in his best interest.

Yeah, Dressel set a WR on 100 butterfly, and take the title of the best underwater Milak set on 200, and perhaps will be the first man, who swam faster than 1:50.00 so "easy" But even though, Phelps always will be the best, but not cause he got so much medals. He will be the best, because he showed us that nothing is unreal, that we can make all dreams real; showed what does mean the real athlete, swimmer and just the man. We all love him, his swimming style, his endurance(trained all his life), his history. And the main, he was a simple child as we all. We always will remember him and his performances
