Locked areas in SSO are truly my Roman Empire. They keep teasing us with Ashland name drops and it makes me wonder what higher ups in the company are keeping the devs, writers, and artists from letting their creativity run wild.

I’m hoping they don’t touch dino valley because i just KNOW that they will completely mess up the vibe and misunderstand what made it such a special place in the first place. I hope they forget it exists and it just gets to be as it is because i don’t have faith in that they could improve it. As it is now it feels desolate, empty, sometimes even unnerving and creepy, the sso team would 100% try to fill out the place with cute and pretty stuff and make it into a winter wonderland instead of the abandoned wasteland it’s supposed to be

I like the fact that the textures on the Ashland look like the game was developed in the 2000s. And this means that this location was conceived by the old developers. It is a pity that this location will not be released, because the main plot has already been broken several times, removing the mystical and frightening side of the game that it used to be. Of course I'm happy for young children who like horses and this game, but unfortunately, the atmosphere of frightening mystery that I loved as a child is no longer there...

The sad part is, with the direction SSO has chosen for the game (mysterious → childish) we will never get these hair-rising locations like for example the Ashlands...

I will always have such a massive soft spot for Ashland,it’s my favorite place on the map and I remember always visiting it when I was more active on sso. I wish I could visit it again but to my knowledge you can’t which is so sad to me.

i walked into ashland using photo mode and sliding down the mountain. i also found out if you log out in ashland, you will spawn in still there

cape point is so beautiful so far... i'm dyinggg for more towns and villages, i hope they'll give us a new one sometime!!! ughhh and i LOVE that muted tone for the grass in the mystic valley my god i hope they keep it like that and build off of it

I know most of them, it was an absolutely cathartic feeling particularly when I discovered the vast Tailtop Village area. :) I know of at least 8 more interesting areas, in case you didn't know of some of them yet and are interested: 1. The southern part of the Mountains of Jor (= the mountains above Redwood Point). 2. The top of the Redwood Waterfall. 3. The peaks of the mountains with the Redwood Point waterfall - not the side closer to Wildwoods, but the side closer to Firgrove. You can also climb down from there to the hillsides of the layered hills of Firgrove. 4. The top of the mountain range in between the Baroness' Racetrack and Goldenhills, above the UFO crash site. 5. In Goldenhills, in the rocks/mountains near the entrance to Pi's Swamp, the small strip of land uphill blocked by an invisible wall. It leads to a sort of rocky nook full of texture clashes and fallen leaves. I'm afraid getting there normally is impossible, though. 6. The mountains surrounding Devil's Gap. 7. The "vista" in the cliff in Hollow Woods, above one of the runestone glyph puzzle sites, the eastern part of the Silversong River. 8. Cape Sorrow. Also, question: do you please know any standard way to get to what you call "Mystic Valley" (9:44)? By which I mean climbing, sliding, etc. Either from the vicinity of Cape Point or from Marchenghast Castle. I have been trying to find a way there for eternity, yet all potential ways there seem physically impossible.

Most of the areas you listed are cool to visit, but they don't really count as locked areas to me (except Cape Sorrow, I forgot about those Islands). There's no normal way into Mystic Valley, but you can get the dark glitch and just jump down without taking dangerous falls. If you don't want to get the dark glitch, you can fall down with the name change menu open as just your character but you won't be able to get your horse once you're down.

It's interesting you counted the Tailtop Village area or the Redwood Point area as locked though, considering you can get there quite easily and quickly just by mountaineering, but not the southern part of the Mountains of Jor (which is also an isolated area, and one that is actually harder to get to than the Tailtop or Redwood areas). By the way, I'm curious, where did the name "Mystic Valley" for the said area come from? Have you yourself come up with it, or were players maybe referring to it like that even before? Because you're the first one I've ever seen visiting that area.

@@miaow8670 I counted the Tailtop and Redwood Point areas since people have told me that it is a locked area. I personally don't think it is but I included them anyway. I got the name Mystic Valley from other people's videos. It was at least 3 years ago now so I'm not sure which ones exactly. It probably won't be called Mystic Valley if it's ever released though.

ngl, it looks like the sso team is slightly working on cape point like on and off or just randomly, and even if the graphics are low on the grass, maybe cape point will be the next area that opens?

I think Kallter's Valley / Shadowy Hills is next. They've been changing small things a lot over the past year or so, and they recently added half of a big lake.

Many of these areas are undoubtedly not up to sso's current standard, but it would be cool if they would just release them so we can explore. There would be no harm in it. Also, where can I buy the cat she has in the video (the cream and brown one) as it looks like my cats and I want it haha.

They technically have released them since we don't need to get the dark glitch anymore, and they've removed the invisible walls in Kallter's Valley. By cream and brown, I'm guessing that's the one I used for the Broken Bridge? It's from the Winter Village, so it's not currently available.

@@Therianowllizardcreature20 We'll probably be getting Kallter's Valley / Shadowy Hills next. There have been a lot of little changes over the past year or so, and they recently added half of a big lake. That being said, there were no changes before Devils Gap was opened.

well they have still yet to update the dino valley. so what i'm thinking is maybe they will realise new areas or at least i hope so. don't take that as a conclusion tho cause it's just what i'm thinking. i just think that would make sense and i hope they will. also what karlasso said about the kattlers valley. that makes a lot of sense to me if they would release kallters valley

I love sso and i’ve been playing since around 2015 i think. I remember always trying to glitch/cheat my way into these hidden areas. It’s so sad that they’re trying to make the game more childish and in a way make it feel more like north america because thats where lots of the fan base it from. I think we truly have enough horse games set in America. I would love for sso to release more areas that stick to their more European culture and bring the game back to having more of a darker storyline. I also wish they made lisa punk again instead of country but thats a different topic. Anyway, I’m disappointed i’ll probably never see some of these areas and that they’ve changed the game i grew up loving…

I think Broken Bridge Location is full in the Starshine Legacy.

WAIT When i finished a recent quest with the dark riders where we meet the new one in tailtop, whenever i rode through there, it suddenly teleported me to a random area for the first 30 mins after the quest. But now that i see this vid, the place looks like Kallters valley. Is sso doing something?

So sad they've worked on Marchenghast castle just to never use it. It's years ago that they've created it. They should have kept the "old kings keep" there.

Most areas require a bit of climbing, except for places like Mystic Valley where you need to fall in. If there's any specific areas you want to go in, I can link you a video which does show how to get there.

@@karlasso not the office room, at 11:07, that GED place. Isnt it in the quest line where u unlock the gate by wolf hall Inn? Im pretty sure it was where u were supposed to go through a secret path to get to Epona, and then at the end it was that GED place

@@QwErTy-rb7my Oh yeah you're right. It's still a locked area though since we can't go back to it after the quests. Before SSO removed the area warnings you'd be taken back to your home stable if you tried to go in after the quests are done.

u can get into Ashland without warnings or have to bug now u just climb

Probably. I think it'll either be released (and updated) or removed when they update Dino Valley.

As far as I've seen, it's only possible to get stuck in Mystic Valley since you can't call for pickup. I won't care that much if I get banned though.
