Hello ! Need help. I use a VPN to watch foreign channel on my iphone. When i connect the HDMI cable to my tv and iphone I can mirror ANYTHING onto my TV. Works perfectly. BUT the foreign channel won’t mirror to the TV ??? So weird. I only hear the sound, no picture. Thanks for helping.

do you have to unlock your screen first? because mein screen is damaged so i cant see what is on the dispplay. but i want tosave some files from it and i need to see. therfor i hoped that i could mirror the screen to the tv so i see what i am doing. because i also dont see when i type the right password

@@arthurdevolder7297 yes that connection itself works but my problem is I have found out that what I want is clean HDMI output. All I can do with airplay is pull up another app like Photos or videos and then play it. Most of the time I see all the controls from the iPhone like the controls to take a photo etc. I found an app called filmic pro that allows you to turn on clean HDMI output. Then all the iPhones controls and such go away and all you have left is a nice clean screen with your live action. Filmic Pro costs $15. Guess I’ll have to buy it. To record it I also need a capture card. But right now all we want is the live demonstration. 😊

@@oluwanifiseenitan5801 on my iPhone when you pull down from the right corner of your island live screen, it goes into those click settings, and then the one that looks like one screen on top of the other screen, little rectangles, that’s the way to turn that on. I hope this makes sense.

Question,I have been using this hdmi lightning adapter with my iphone 8+ with no problems for the last year,all of a sudden the mirroring stopped,the tv screen is black,but if I open an app,say youtube,it will open and play on the tv,close the app and tv is black again,open another app it will play on tv,so my Iphone apps do not appear on the tv but will will open and play on the tv,What happened ?

Select the (hdmi) input you plugged it into, same as if you plugged in a new dvd player or whatever into the TV.

No, most streaming apps do not work..NETFLIX and HBO plus work, but any live tv apps like sling, directv, hulu etc do not work. the only 2 i've found are NETFLIX and HBO plus.

I've been doing this for months with an old iPhone 6 but out of the blue it has stopped mirroring. All I see is the QR code on the TV. When I use the same cable with my iPhone 8, it works - so the problem is not the cable. Any advice? Thank you.

Hmm. It’s not working for me despite having the exact same connectors/adapters you do. I even tried manually selecting the correct HDMI channel on the monitor and making sure Airplay was working. I can see another (newer) Samsung monitor that I have upstairs, but not the Panasonic I’m directly plugged into.

I have that lightning cord and it still won't even mirror to the Samsung tv.

You’re displaying your device on the monitor through the hdmi port. AirPlay is wireless mirroring. Two different things.

I did it, I connected the iPhone to the TV but when we want to watch Netflix, the circle is still spinning, when I unplug the iPhone, the movie starts normally on the phone..

This is almost useless with such a high lag.
