"What's Happening!!" is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from August 5, 1976, to April 28, 1979, initially debuting as a summer series. Following the cancellation of other shows on the network and receiving favorable ratings and reviews from critics, "What's Happening!!" was reinstated as a weekly series from November 1976 until its conclusion in April 1979.

All in the Family truly was a groundbreaking show that brought humor and social commentary together in a unique way. It's understandable why it's missed by so many fans even today.

My father was a big Archie Bunker fan and was shocked when I told that the actor Carroll O'Connor was nothing like Archie Bunker. Archie Bunker may have been a Nixon loving Republican but Carroll O'Connor was a New York Democrat liberal. I always wondered how my father would have responded to In The Heat Of The Night. He passed away in 1983, a few years before ITHOTN

It's fascinating how actors can portray characters so convincingly, isn't it? In The Heat Of The Night showcased Carroll O'Connor's versatility as an actor, and it's a shame your father missed seeing that. It's a reminder of the impact television can have on our lives and the discussions it can spark.
How strange that they passed all suddenly,at least say they died!!
