Suppression of freespeech for Friedberg😢
Please fix the volume levels. The lecture volume level is low in absolute terms (my volume setting was on the max), then the theme song comes on and is EXTREMELY LOUD!

Does anyone else feel like these segments are about 60% of their optimal length?
Listening to Larry Summers best explains why I wanted to go to an institute of higher learning. The exchange of ideas, the chance to see points of view that were radically different from my own, the chance to hear someone else define the world they lived in as opposed to the world I took for granted, maybe even finding out I was correct every now and then, were things I wanted to explore. I wish I could have known people like Mr. Summers. For those of you who have known him, consider yourself blessed. So far, he's been the most interesting speaker of all. Thank you for inviting him.
You boys keep this up and I'm coming to the next one! By far the best guest line up I'm seeing on KZread so far!

The line-up of guests as been 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rather than self regard,... getting to the truth in the most excellent way..... YES brave statements about academic inquiry and free speech. Suprised by Dr Summer's intellectual bravery. Great panel. Great conference.

Great talk. This might be ignorant, but as president at Harvard, why didn't he implement these changes he's now speaking of? Happy to learn.

I, too, am no expert, but if I had to guess, it's probably the same reason that the President of the US can't just pass any law he wants. It has to go through Congress/Senate.

Larry Summers loves the sound of his own voice. His intonation smacks of huge self reverence. The hosts dutifully coddle his gigantic ego by implying the Federal Reserve of the USA, the number one central bank globally, would have adjusted its monetary policy in reaction to Larry’s (overly alarmist and fantastical) prognostications. The Fed somehow didn’t see well, but our all mighty Larry saw through it all, only if Powell had listened to him. All actors here seem past their peak and prime and still seeking glory which eludes them

larry butters his bread on both sides
What a masterclass! Super inspiring talk!!!
Thank you for sharing this!
Wow what a guy, sence at last ! Thanks AIP
"It's not only people in political situations who when they develop a strong view change it only slowly in response to evidence." - applies to everybody
I'm reminded of a Summers' quote: "The seminar is half over and everything has been said, but not everyone has said it."
You should have Larry for a couple hours. This was good!
superbe guys ... wonderful job ....thx ... love it
Thank you so much for this!
It’s amazing Larry Summers has joined the All-in-Summit. Looking forward to the next year summit. See you all in 2024!
Great Line-up!! ❤
Wish the universities could be completely reformed or disrupted to allow orders of magnitude more people to attend than just the elites. Without the limits of supply the world would be a better place.
Need to always watch summers on 1.5x speed
Thanks to Larry and his speaking at this great 2023 All-In Summit!
Hey! This guy's speaking my language. What a legend. 🙏
The ' Jeremiah's of alarm ' what a good phrase
Extremely based
With this quality of conversation, one wonders why the All in summit should not be a Quarterly event - It will only help accelerate constructive work in the world! Both Larry's and Graham's sessions were soaked in wisdom for the current and future generations.
Glad to see Larry could stop by in between his stints on little st. James
💜 We are evolving drastically more in the next 5 years than the last 100 years.
That was great.
Let the show begin!!!!!
That last bit on free speech in universities was 🔥
What a great guest for the show!
Larry sure does like the sound of his own voice.

When lots of folks consider you a sage, you may begin to believe it and act more and more like one
Our universities should be modeling and demonstrating that rather than leading a charge, as it too often seems they are, towards an orgy of mutual self regard, respect and care rather than getting closer to the truth in the most excellent way" ... WORD !
Always a pleasure to listen to Larry.

Larry acted very well in Social Network !
Friedberg never got to ask his question.
This man is “ALL-in” on Cash
Glass-Steagall Act needs to be reinstated.
Not even 40 minutes with this caliber of guests is a crime!! Chamath gets sleepover parties with Larry all the while Friedberg is too socially awkward and anxious to even get a single question in. Atleast get these people on the pod.
Easily the best talk I've seen this year
I enjoyed the others guests way more but hopefully some of you enjoyed this
Larry, most people know what we need . Executing solutions n existing barriers is what is needed. Thanks for ur talk, but it lacked insights unlike Bill Gurley's
Another great panel guest. I realize you had many speakers and a limited time but I really wish each speaker had more time to talk. They just feel way too short
Larry is a treasure.
Achievement leads to self esteem. Not the other way around.

He is the man with intelligence. good speech!
Get this man David a raise
I listen to these with a headphone. The volume of the intro and outro are WAY of from that of the conversation. Could you guys PLEASE equalize the volume across the entire video? It should be easy. Thank you!
Larry said education needs to include objective measures like standardized testing and then went on to claim that racial discrimination in admissions is good because it helps those that wouldn’t otherwise be accepted based on testing. He also said achievement should precede self esteem not the other way around. Larry, please make sense of this. Smh.
Good job Larry!!
classic! on second marriages and soft landings
This was the best session and he was hands down the best speaker of this event.
letss goo
Loved his point about managing expectations 😅😂
Harvard Professor is NOT as prestigious as it used to be...sad! Larry says on one hand achievement/merit is important, on the other hand he wants admittance based on ethnicity???
🔥
'We are the place that every part of the world wants to come to'. Well, that isnt as true as it used to be.
Yall gotta reduce your intro/outro volume

My take on Larry Summers is that you can take both sides, but when you takes both sides to the fullest, it became blank.
Need Larry on the podcast for a 2 hour interview
Great talk!

the besties were fan boying a bit much on this one. But to be honest, I did fanboy at his Achievement from self esteem line!

Quite a few of my friends who studied in the US opted for not getting US citizenship because of its worldwide tax liabilities. People with options avoid getting US citizenship.
Larry was cooking here!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Please bring the Secretary on the pod!
Rating all your guests, Larry is at the bottom...answers questions, (if he answers at all), like a politician and goes off on a tangent
Why is each guest so short of time would of liked 60 minutes vs 30 or so Freidburg couldn't even get his question in lol.
This guy is smart
We have to overcome this pretentious economy… makes so much sense he said it brilliantly.
35 mins and nothing.....zzzz
this dude is a tank lmao
These guys are much better interviewers than podcast hosts 😂 was surprised to see no childish bickering 👍🏾
fun
I appreciate Larry's insight, but do not forgot that he is largely responsible for much of the inflation. Further to that, he was quick to speak to talking points which were clearly insincere and sound-byte-esque.
FREE Friedberg 😂 let him cook!
Larry is saying the buzz words as a politician. He knows all what the audience wants to hear is what is required but knows very well it will never happen. So it doesn’t hurt him at all saying it. He is mostly threaten by what the Supreme Court did throwing out affirmative action and kept merit based entrances. That is not Larry cup of tea. It’s cool to say it integrates all but history has shown us that is not the case. And he knows very very well that legacy admission is here to stay. But cool to say that it should go. So thanks Larry. A good retirement is what you need.

@25:00 'we're better than other places.' SUCH on old trope, Other Places are still stuck in the 19th century, including India. There are spikes of technology, but the cultures are nowhere near ours - and ours is in deep, deep decline. (Work and basic social culture alone, with no religious or social class modification, just basic behaviors across the spectrum.)
He’s really great at sounding good without saying a gd thing
It was kind of an interesting speech by Larry but it was really pretty completely confused.
