We all want to know what is out there in the woods and bringing the Fisher F19 metal detector along is a good idea. I went exploring around the old deserted New England farms that we have so many of here in this part of NH. Following the rock walls, cow lanes, cart paths and looking around the cellar holes. I came upon a spot near the river where they were dumping junk and field stones for many years. Detected a small section that looked like an improved field way back when . And then dug some pocket change out on the road ! This is metal detecting and exploring in its simplest form and the best way to have fun and enjoy the day outdoors. Walking through the colonial farms of the 1700s that all became abandoned in the 1800s. And you never know what you may find.
