Well shit. I just watched “we can’t be friends” just to come back to this song. Adele has always been one of my favorite singers and when this album came out I could feel her emotion in the songs but not two years later I actually understood the emotion and the feeling of wanting to save the memories instead of being left with horrible ones. I just broke up with my partner of 7 years and while it was a mutual decision we are in the process of moving out of our apartment into separate living situations so I’ve been busy. But having him so close may be hurting me more because I just don’t want him to walk away for the last time. And he feels the same. This is the first heartbreak for both of us and it has been so hard. This song truly captures what it feels to be so heartbroken and of course here I am sobbing in my bathroom at 3am but thank you Adele for singing for all of us

Its so unfair that the ones who love the hardest in this world become the one who is the most broken

I've been living this for 4 years he is with someone else but he still calls everyday to say we need to work this out and get back together he don't realize how much it hurts I guess just to keep me hanging on its ok for him to be with her but I cannot even talk to someone else I'm an emotional roller-coaster

It’s hard when you would literally give him your last breath and when you already give him so much and he can show you how happy you can really be and then all of a sudden you are left with nothing but emptiness by the words or actions he shows you but what hurts most is the fact you still love him with every inch of your being and you don’t know how to live without him but he can move on so easily yet he comes back to you when he really needs someone and that’s the reason you carry on suffering cause you know deep down he does need you the same way you need him I will love you forever and a million more even if you don’t want me in every one I’ll always be here even if that is what kills me 💙

My heart hurts when I hear this song because she was singing the song of my life years ago .. Beautiful song and the words mean so much more now.

I asked this once of my first husband... 9 months later we had a child. Wish I had never asked. Be aware if someone doesn't love you... walk away, you can not make them change thier mind. All it may do is make you both miserable trying.
