For me Triple Threat ending is cannon, because Henry has both of his friends with him, he doesn’t die, government owes him, Ellie and Charles a favor, everyone from the toppat clan is alive, and distraction dance is present. Charles even breaks the 4th wall and says the name of the game.

If you think about it, technically _all_ deaths in series are canon, including the fails. The whole "multiversal overload" thing only triggers when you've played _every_ possible path, thus all of those timelines "actually happened", even if they don't lead to a Mission Complete ending...

So you're just gonna ignore the fact Henry also died? Charles died heroically and remembered by Henry in the Valiant Hero ending, but Henry ditched the government, didn't allied with Ellie, and got his revenge on the Toppat clan for betraying him in the Revenged ending, only to die alone. To put it simply, Charles have people to remember his death, Henry doesn't.

​@@TO-13 imo, I think it just comes down to the fact that Henry is the character we play as. it makes a difference, because a lot of times people see playable video game characters as themselves, even if said character has their own personality. so it doesn't have as much of an impact when they die. also, rewatching it again, I don't think some people realized he died. with Charles, it was abundantly clear with the sad music and the explosion, but Henry just kind of relaxed. I can see how at first glance someone wouldn't realize what had happened. and...maybe it's just me, but Henry's death scene felt more disturbing than sad.

He survived the airship crash, but getting shot in the spine killed him _eventually._ not to mention that they are literally stick men, so you’d imagine that the armor is a little bit thin. Any bullet would pierce that, it would be like shooting through paper.

The game really sucks you in to being a big fan of Charles. He's the one character that the game really wants you to get attached to, just so they can drop that bomb on you with the valiant hero ending. He didn't deserve to die, but at least he went out with his dignity, and in the most noble way possible
