Okay, so I'm an artist myself and I study character designs and people frequently. I noticed you didnt make much comment on the apparel. Take Nifty for example. Her clothes signify that she was alive during the same period as the movie "Grease". Add the hair, her love of cleaning, and her obsession with men, and you can clearly see what sin got her to hell. The fact that she asked 'why arent there any men here?' When Angeldust was clearly standing there shows that the time period of death is correct because Drag Queens or any Femboy relations didnt exist back then. Anyway, I believe her Sin was adultrey. The animators drew her eyes in a greedy manner, searching while her questioning about men. I think she was in a relationship but was unhappy and something led to her being stabbed to death, per the three strange red dots on her blouse.

Also, Then theres Vaggie. Based on her coloration and the black "choker" on her neck, I believe she died by some sort of oxygen deprivation, like hanging herself or being strangled to death. Its stated that Vaggie is a lesbian, and we also hear how she talks angrily in Spanish at Alastor in the hotel with a spear pointing at him. It makes me think that she was probably a latino girl who was excluded from society because she was gay. The part that is puzzling is the eyepatch with an 'X' on it over her right eye. Right is usually associated with the truth, so maybe it's a symbolic thing. Maybe Vaggie couldn't see the truth about something. The two Xs over her chest are symbols in the sexual assault/abuse community. I use them alot in my drawings. Maybe the reason the X is over her eye is because she couldn't see the truth about herself and her sexuality? Perhaps some kind of abuse made her not trust men and advert to girls? We hear Angeldust make comments about her, like "Dont get your taco in a twist, baby" and she asks whether its racist or sexist, which I think proves my theory. Based on her anger and her loud tone asserting that she will be heard, maybe she was holding everything inside and offed herself, which now makes her guilt ridden and angry.

Aside from that, one headcanon I'm starting to side with is the fact is related to the Angels of Death, or the "executors", in some way shape or form. The fact that she not only has the ❌ on the same eye as those creatures, but the same kind of spear as well, is quite a coincidence.

This is info from both Hunicast and Faustisse's livestreams *Viv hates Baxter apparently so it's not sure if he'll make it into the final cut of the show *Velvet is apparently good with potion making *Vox has a weird NOTICE ME thing going on with Alastor (who doesn't give him the time of day XD ) *The mysterious demon Cherry was thinking of in "Addict" is not Angel's brother, but a recycled character from Viv's comic "Zoophobia" named Izzy *Angel still in contact with Valentino (He might be too scared to fully cut him off) *Angel will apparently get a love interest at some point but obviously we don't know who *Cherry is planned to be Australian *Lucifer has been described as loving his daughter but being terrible as a dad (cause he's Lucifer) *Seviathan is described as being kind of a dumb jock type and Helsa is more the brains of the siblings who bosses him around

I remember hearing once that Husk used to be a big name in Hell like the Overlords but quit from that life while he was ahead. He absolutely gives of that jaded Veteran attitude. Theirs a reason Alastor's first thought was to bring those two onboard if Alastor wanted to cause trouble for fun. Nifty and Husk are probably his Left and Right hand when "on the job"

I think husk might have been more closer to a kingpin like Sir Pentious is, powerful enough to carve out a chunk of his own turf but not overlord levels

I don't recommend going for the wiki, but also something to add! Crymini, a wolf like demon will be part of the cast as the "young" soul. She died in the 90s and is a 19yr old You can see her looking at the screens when Alastor first appears

@@jamescannonthecat Giving A24 being involved with the Hazbin Hotel Television series it seems that Netflix or HBO Max look to be the likely choices that will stream the show given that these streaming sites have streamed and distributed the majority of the A24 TV series. I don't think Hulu will get this cause other than "Ramy", A24 seems to have their Television productions primarily through Netflix or HBO.

@@Friendstoyourend Again, A24 is involved with the Hazbin Hotel Television series so honestly it's either Netflix or HBO/HBO Max, given the Independent distributor's close association with them. I don't think Hulu will get Hazbin cause other than "Ramy", A24 seems to have their Television productions primarily through Netflix or HBO, plus it's not going to be on Disney's international streaming arm "Star" which is mostly going to be first party content. Even Amazon Prime is out of the question given I haven't seen A24 work closely with them for their Television/web series.

Very comprehensive! Just a little more info that I've been able to glean from my own digging: -Mimzy died in the 1920's; pretty early in development, she was meant to be Alastor's love interest (or at least "head over heels" for him), and Vivzie absolutely shipped the hell out of them. Then of course Alastor ended up being asexual, but supposedly, he and Mimzy _are_ still friends. He's got a few girl buddies, it seems. -Mimzy and Niffty were also best friends in development; time will tell if that holds true in the final product. -Speaking of Niffty, apparently she's got some sewing-related powers or something? That was the impression I got looking at some of the pre-pilot art of her holding a giant needle and thread while making a psycho face, anyway. If this still holds true, it might explain why Alastor recruited her to be one of his regular partners (along with Husk). Y'know, what with Al's voodoo powers and stuff? -On the topic of Al's voodoo powers, Alastor is also a New Orleans native and might have actually practiced Vodou in life; in fact, most of the weird symbols that show up around him when he does the threatening Radio Demon flex are, tho stylized, fairly accurate to some actual vevès of the Vodoun Loa; specifically part of Papa Legba's (the gatekeeper and the Loa you have to invoke first before trying to contact any of the others) and Kalfu's (Legba's dark counterpart and someone with whom Alastor has a lot in common). I could go on, but there's a LOT of research that goes into Alastor's Vodou and it's really cool and I encourage literally everyone who reads this to do some research on your own it's so cool how much went into the Vodou aspect of Alastor I love it ❤ -Husk also is a gambling addict, died at age 70-something, speaks seven different languages, and has a thing for magic tricks and I love him he is great. -Chronologically, Sir Pentious is the oldest sinner we know of so far; he is an Englishman who died in 1888. Also he just wants to be one of the cool kids. -Angel is specifically from an NYC mafia family, and he can speak some Italian. -The image used for Molly in this video is an outdated design. Here's her most recent one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/inaXxcaSqbqtfNI.html Also, a lot more can also be gleaned about the characters from their official Instagram accounts, like Valentino being in an on-again-off-again relationship with Vox, Vox having a pet demon shark named Vark, Husk still trying to figure out what he really wants to _do_ with his Insta after Niffty convinced him to get one, Pentious still trying to be one of the cool kids, and Angel hitting on Husk every chance he gets. (I would start from Val's account, moth_pimp, and go from there.) Cherri's account got suspended really suddenly for some reason like a week ago, but the others - Vox, Val, Velvet, Husk, Niffty, Angel, Pentious, and Vaggie (very inactive) - are still there. So is the main cast of _Helluva Boss,_ altho Millie is also super inactive. Also apparently Al's face fucks up digital cameras so. There's that.

@EmberGirl Studios I know that. I understand very well that nothing is stopping me or anyone from shipping him (he is _very_ shippable, after all). Just added that comment to indicate that it's that much less likely for Alastor to have a canon love interest in the actual show. In fact, now that you mention it, I'm sure Alastor has had plenty of dates with his girl buddies. Just none that led to anything beyond their staying friendship. He's probably had lunch with Rosie, taken Mimzy dancing, taken Niffty for milkshakes, and I'm sure he'd happily join Charlie for karaoke. So yeah. I know he can still date. He's cool like that.

@D Z I actually recently found out that the Vietnam vet thing isn’t actually canon. (I know, I’m disappointed, too.) My other info does indeed come from scrolling thru Viv’s old tumblr posts, and, well, I figured some of it could potentially inform what the final product might turn out as. Or not. Maybe just cool trivia. I mean. The guy bothered to mention that Angel and Vaggie were a couple really early in development despite that very much no longer being the case.

Angel is still working for Valentino, the pilot somewhat confirms this in the text chat Valentino is having. You have to pause it to read it, but he's essentually demanding to know if Angel has any money for him, and Angel responds he is with a John at that moment (the john being Travis) and then asks if he really should be doing this so soon after a cleanse has taken place. It's more like Angel is living a life of subterfuge, where he is using the Hotel as a safe house of sorts and trying to keep Charlie and Vaggie believing he's trying to rectify his behavior. While the trying keep up appearances with Valentino so he doesn't get suspicious that his employee -though prisoner is the more appropriate term- is wanting to escape.

This is what I wanted to say too. I don't think that Angel would dare to tell Val that he is not working for him anymore. And I have the feeling that even this "living in the Hotel" idea may lead to a conflict between them. It was showed in the news in the Pilot, so it is very possible that Valentino heard about that.

@@saintbutunholy Exactly, and at the end of the Addict music videos Angel just rudely gives Charlie the cold shoulder and flips her off as he walks way. This suggests Angel is aware that Charlie had mentioned him as a resident of the hotel. He won’t hold it against her for long since she obviously didn’t know what sort of danger that would put him in. But he kinda did have reason to be irritated with her in regards And Charlie herself is rather startled when he glowers at her after she had tried to see if he wanted to talk to someone about what was bothering him, For Angel, as she knows him glowering at her like that would be seen as unusually hostel. For Val, Angel would likely tell him the concept of the hotel is all BS and that all he is getting out of it is free room and board. Val would accept that answer, and is only allows Angel to stay there because like most of Hell he assumes it will fail. And once it does he can just go reclaim his property. Though since the place is being run by the Princess of Hell herself, Val would be eying the hotel closely to be sure Angel isn’t gaining allies in high places.

I _had_ a fan theory that Vaggie was a former Exterminator who defected to Hell when she saw and fell in love with Charlie during a previous Purge.

I look forward to more Hazbin Hotel, remember it’s an adult cartoon. In the show Satan is a different character to Lucifer. Satan in the religious text is God’s Executioner. He got merged with Lucifer throughout the ages. I think Satan is the leader of the angels who come during to purge demons every year

actually arachniss is supposed to be shorter than Angel dust even though he's an older brother and Molly is supposed to be in hell actually sense technically even though she's a nice demon nice is Charlie she can be a real badass and will kill if necessary plus angel dust had died in the 1947 so his sister might have died in a similar time. Meaning if vaggie died in 2014 I doubt angels sister would be alive and his mother is supposed to be in heaven while angel dust and his family are actually a crime family

going by mollys hair and outfit i always speculated that she was the last sibling to die maybe 10-20 years later after angel because her hair looks very 1950 or 1960 and while women in the 40s to 60s had short hair its realistic to assume there were some women with long hair that were in the same style as mollys ponytail and i saw fan art of molly as a human with her hair in a bun wich could still be a hair style in the 1930-40s

I think the Instagram accounts for the characters are an interesting thing to look through. Angel's and Husker's has an interesting narrative that implies the two of them are going to have an important impact on each other in the future, whether it's just them becoming supportive friends or boyfriends.

Small detail about Niffty that was mentioned on the post release QNA stream. When asked “what did Niffty do to end up in hell?” Vivzie responded with “I can’t say, but that’s most of the reason why she’s such a funny character to me.” In my eyes, this HEAVILY implies that the sin she committed was very drastic in contrast with her cutsie appearance.

8:10 I didn’t know his name was Travis, but this character is also in Angel Dust’s music video Addict, at the time when Angel kicks someone climbing up onto the stage, right before Angel falls on his back as part of the “high”

The dinosaur demons have been said to be overlords close to Lucifer and will most likely appear later in the show. More in this in Vivziepop’s Artism podcast.

In the music video addict at 4:01 there is a sign behind angel dust, Test your pause game and get your screen shots. The sign says “it was all a dream” I hope this brings some clever theory’s coming your way excited to see what you come up with

I really hate in theories about something being 'all a dream', though I had theories for a while that Angel Dust wasn't really dead, as he mentions being comatose in the music video. I thought it would be fun if his body had technically died so he went to hell, but through the course of the show he learns he wants to go to heaven, so in the end he comes out of the coma and gets a chance to atone on earth.

If you watch the helluva boss episode you can see half the cast from there in the pilot like Luuna and Blitz, I’d watch them both and see how many characters there are and how many references they bounce off each other between Hazbin and Helluva since they share the same world.

Idk why but when he said Vaggie was supposed to be with Angel I got EXTREMELY uncomfortable...😂

Looking forward to seeing Baxter, Rosie and Mimsy in the series as well as more of the characters we saw in the pilot.

When alastor looks at charlie's family portrait, when the radio static happens you can hear a bit of charlie's voice singing inside of every demon is a rainbow.

I feel like Rue is going to be my new favorite character just because elf her art-

I just got into this fandom last month and there is so much to this show like the lore and the characters it's so confusing I feel like I don't know anything 😵

Okay so I just watched the pilot for this and the animation for this it's not that bad it's really good and the characters wholly guacamole are they Bazaar in a good way and I would like to see how far this show can go

Excited to finally see more breakdowns about this show! Really excited to see more!

There are two I know of that you missed. During the song, "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow," her two musicians are actually her childhood dolls that Lucifer brought to life to protect Charlie as her bodyguards. Their names are Razzle and Dazzle which feels appropriate. Keep doing these I love this! It took me so long to read all the lore scattered around the web on everyone and I'm still trying to find other pieces I haven't found yet. :)

5:03 angel did not previously worked for Valentino, he still works for him. 6:45 actually no, Rosie is described as an extremly powerful demon with an 8/9 in the scale of overlord power by faussitube There are various other characters like: crymini, Bethesa, frederick, razzle and dazzle and others like thers ALOT, been fan of Hazbin since 2016 so Im kinda obssesed with it and tryied learning everything about the characters and lore, if you wanna know more you can check out the hazbin hotel fandom wiki, they have refrences to all of the things they put there. Also really REALLY suggest watching the QnA part 2 live stream on Viv’s channel, there is SO much amazing details and reveals about the lore and world building of Hazbin! Time stamps on the comments really help

@D Z I know but all of the information that I take from the wiki I check in their references and the information is always real, the actual wikipedia of the show is comical but from what I have seen the fandom wiki is pretty good for info

@@Abberddle_ well..... when it comes to the ship I think its cute but the canon.... I just think Angel flirts with him so much on instagram because he is the only male from hazbin on instagram, Im sure if Alastor was on instagram he would also flirt with him, I feel like when it comes to Husk he thinks Angel is atractive, that’s a given, but I dont think there is alot more to it, I mean it could very much happen! Just something about the characters dinamic makes me think Husk is more the “mentor” figure for all the Hazbins since he is so direct and probably the oldest (in alive years). But maybe im biased because I ship radiodust 😅

@@palomaroggeri8680 I respect that! I'm aware that alastor doesn't have an instagram and that's a valid response. But it really isn't the instagram stuff that kind of makes it a possible cannon. I've spoken with a die hard fan and they've been keeping track on behind the scene stuff. Viv was once asked about whether she shipped huskerdust and she response with "I can't answer that for.. reasons. Maybe, maybe not..? That's all I'm gonna say" -if you know vivian reposts and likes huskerdust art on her twitter (and I mean couple things, not just platonic) and she only does that stuff with official ships and stuff. (Ect. Moxie and mimzy(?) And chaggie) and in old art shes drawn husk and angel quite a bit. so clearly she likes the ship but doesn't want to admit it for, again, "REASONS" Also as you said, husk prolly does think he's pretty or somn. At the end of hazbin hotel, Angel winks at Husk and in response, he gives a wide eyed look. And usually, that could mean anything, it could've just been shock. But in the original sketch of husk, he was blushing. (This was originally taken out, possibly cause it would've shown too much) If you don't believe me on this stuff, dm me on 'Abber.hotel_101' and I can give you the evidince! And about radiodust, viv did confirm that it wouldn't be possible :

It's probably outdated now but she was 19 when she died in the 90s making her the youngest hazbin

heres something i heard, 4:13 and 7:32 , i heard the Angles older brother(Ness)(a nickname angle gave him) is working with Sir.Pentious so he might have helped make the egg demons. fun fact: despite being Angles older brother, Ness, is a lot shorter than him

I didn't know Vaggie and Charlie were dating tbh i never saw them as a couple i saw them as bestfriends with a very sweet,nice friend and the more serious, overprotective friend

Yeah same I had no idea they were dating and I also see them as nothing more then friends like to me them dating kinda doesn't look right if you know what I mean and I'm not trying to be rude or offend the creator or anyone who ships them I am just simply sharing my opinion

There are other characters that may be still canon? Fitch + his 3 brothers(all dragons i suppouse) Adina There was a small comic with Vaggie, Fitch and Angel Dust+ little of Adina (not an exterminator Angel) There is some art of Adina if you search long enough Also two of Fitches brothers appeared in the pilot (One of them being Marx - in Charlies song when she is in the bar there is black + yellow dude sitting behind the counter, Second is a red creature- he is somewhere in the crowd when Charlie is explaining her idea) Adina seems to be an Angel that wraps her ribbon around her victim and makes them remember all the worst that they have been throught when alive (atleast from what i have seen and heard) Fitch appearently kills demons with his weapon that he carries around So my theory is that Angels may have the ability to make deals with Demons such as Fitch, in this case i think Fitch agreed that if Adina leaves him alone he will kill demons for her If you would like any of Vivzs art about these charcaters i found you can contact me on twitter(Cherriimiu) or instagram(Cherrimiiu._art) I hope this was any helpful :D

you forgot about Razzle and Dazzle, the magne family pets/bodyguards. plush toys enchanted by Lucifer. he also gave them the ability to sing and play instrument since he really likes signing, like Charlie.

If you look at Val, Vox, and Velvet's official instagram pages Val and Vox are hinted to be dating. Velvet also refers to Val and Vox as her dads

When Vaggie told to angel dust about the other powerful demons you can see stolas was there from helluva boss.

The characters in Hazbin Hotel are really interesting, would love to see more about what there lives where like when they where alive and perhaps a little bit about there initial reaction from when they first realized that they ended up in the underworld

YAY NEW CHARACTERS!!!

I think that the overlords have control over seconds of hell, (like the turf war, they wanted control) but Charlie’s parents are the ones who are at the top, they make the final say

So, I have no idea if he will appear again but the Lizard demon in the bar is voiced by James Monroe-Inglehart, arguably the most famous person in the cast (other than Maxwell Atoms of course). In fact he was just cast to play Taurus Bulba in the new Duck Tales. Seems to be a waste of a VO to have him as just a one shot in the pilot, especially given the design.
