Just heard these guys for the first time 2 nights ago. Holy fuck. They blew All that Remains and In Flames away Imo. Kinda remind me Corrosion of Conformity in the groovy sections. Nice.

The video does what it set out to do, or attempted to do and that is to shock the audience. Maybe some were more shocked than others, but I'm missing the point of the lyrics. Are the nuns supposedlu saying, "We serve a lesser god?" Meaning they are serving Satan or is it in the kids perspective and they are singing, "we serve a lesser god?" Without context the meaning is kind of lost. Are the nuns in a cult that sacrifices children and they are getting away with it. Is it a play on society and that people are serving a lesser god, obviously meaning anything other than capital G- God. and that the children are in harms way because people are serving themselves and not their children? Just asking because I'm confused.

I think it's more of a metaphor for how there is no Innocence in this world and any that exists is killed by adults, who children think are always right or "holy". The "we serve a lesser God" line is harder to connect but I think it is supposed to be a common thought amongst all humans, knowing that they hadn't stayed true to their beliefs as kids or morals as 'good people' hence why they think they are not serving the embodiment of pureness, God, but something lesser and more sinful which is Human Nature

I really like this band but I wish they would turn up that guitar when recording dude can sing like hell but it drowns out the guitar for instance if you listen to all that remains or as I lay dying ,even Slipknot the instruments run the show and the voice is kind of evenly matched the sound just flows better with this band the guitar just seems like it's in the background can't really hear it beating my soul down

Their "message"? Do you honestly think they're glorifying burning children for Satanic rituals? It's fiction. It's art. They've created a narrative that stretches across albums. They're actually extremely talented from both a technical and artistic perspective.
