listening to Hades talk to Melinoë makes me so emotional. he's truly lost all hope of vanquishing his father forever or getting his family back. even seeing Melinoë, which he says brings him strength, is not enough to restore his hope in normalcy or safety for those he loves. hearing him talk about Zagreus with such finality, as if he's gone for good, he's convinced Chronos will come out on top no matter what Melinoë does. I know he misses them all beyond words :( poor Hades
