ODM gear was very effective when used in flanking manoeuvres. When Marley invaded Paradiso, the ODM users were killed while standing around or getting flanked by 50 cal from balloons or charging into a wall of gun fire. When using hit an run tactics they were almost unstoppable as seen in Liberio.

If I were a commander in AOT I’d seriously consider making a ODM unit meant to skirmish and harass the enemy army for urban and forested combat. They seem quite useful all things considered

I love how they made this battle a war setting. Pretty rare to see something like this in an anime.

Kinda wish we had more animes focused on gun battles. For example, the manga Groundless deserves its own anime.

​@@trainenthusiast51991920s more like as it's sorta about an alternate post-WW1 world but technology advanced fast enough to have like panzer 4s and jet fighters (like the me 262s). It has one episode where the fictional Romania (or Bulgaria I think) got annihilated instantly because they didn't have the proper magic tech

I wish we got to see more of the Paradis vs Marley scene with the ODM gear, instead of Paradis soldiers just standing around waiting to get shot we could've gotten them getting shot midair or flying around stabbing paratroopers

Yeah, I also wish. But Paradis soldiers were fighting titans for 100 years and Marley soldiers were fighting humans. Obviosly Marley ones are superior. It is interesting thought. Marley was superior power becouse of it's titans. Soldiers and vehicles were worser than other countries' ones. But in the war aganist Paradis it was the soldiers and vihecles that was main power of Marley.

Attack on titan just like ww1 but they add a titan

I love how you can see just how much Marley would rely on the titans. Running into automatic gunfire against the Mid East Alliance was a primitive strategy of attack for its time, especially considering how Marley was one of the strongest Nations in the world. and as seen in Liberio, Marleys ground force was pretty much useless. Probably not the best example because it was a raid Marley was not expecting, but the point still stands. Galliard and the Panzer Unit probably did more than the entirety of the Marleyan ground military

The ODM gear as cool as it is, kinda makes you the duck, in duck hunt when fighting against conventional soldiers.

I was going to make each different scene a different language but decided to switch dub halfway instead.

Marley shares more attributes to the Roman Empire and Nazi Germany than Fascist Italy. They have a massive empire stretching across the European continent, and they heavily oppress the Eldian people which are basically just Jewish people.

​@@torreywilliams6154 I think no one analyzes the following, it was the Yeagerists and Eren vs Marley, armed titan, armored titan, jaw titan. Basically Marley's entire assault force attacking, and add element of surprise in the attack.
