There is stuff that's been revealed about his past and Borderlands 3 is well for example that angel accidentally killed the mother or rather Handsome Jack's wife since that point he was terrified for her own good in the good of other people he locked her up when you play Borderlands the Pre-Sequel it's just betrayal after betrayal after betrayal what you see at the start where he's willing to sacrifice himself for some random person and then near the end you see him destroy about 6 people's lives by shooting them out of an airlock under 2 mission Suspicion that one of them could be a spy at this point is been broken and bruised so much and then when the Lilith and moxie decide to betray am that's the final nail in the coffin

Currently in ultimate vault mode, assassin class, and after you (spoiler alert) kill angel the fact he starts to call you "child killer" hits harder than any loader bot... Then the fact they killed of SCOOTER OF ALL PEOPLE sucks so much. If there were any two people from borderlands I'd bring back, it would be scooter and jack

I'm thoroughly amazed how that song fit him so well. Jack was a unique villain in his own right. Honestly I think Jack was really misunderstood and he could have been a helpful Ally in the future if he had just changed a bit. Wonderful job composing this.

a borderlands animatic in the year of our lord 2018!! I'm screaming!!! this is FANTASTIC!!!! lemme just. take a breath. cuz wow. literally the whole time I was watching it I was just grinning like a fool cuz everything was executed SO WELL and SO cleverly done!! your art style is so pleasing to look at and it's wonderfully clean, crisp, and charming. and all the little bursts of animation are incredibly pleasing to watch (especially the "high-five" at 2:52; they're both just adorable). I also seriously love how it comes full-circle with hologram jack talking to rhys, as if he's recounting this whole story to him (only to get killed at the end, rip). your choices for all the lyrics is absolutely brilliant (I especially love the whole sequence from 2:02 to 2:10!! the lyrics paired with the warrior are chilling)! and also!! I adore all the angel/devil imagery that jack has going on ,,, this song is absolutely perfect for him. I could go on for hours about every little detail I love about this (helios reflected in jack's eye at 2:56, how jack's doing all the stuff rhys can do at the start of ep 5 during 1:35-1:51, EVERY time you use a glitch effect, the frame at 3:38 that is so beautifully laid out and I freaking love it, etc, etc) but I'll spare you from having to read all that. but seriously!! this is such breathtaking work!! it absolutely made my night to see that another borderlands animatic had made its way onto youtube. I apologize for the incredibly long comment, but it wouldn't have felt right to view such an incredible piece of art and not let the creator know how fantastic it is!! I hope you get the recognition you deserve soon, because this is amazing! I'll be sharing it with all the borderlands fans I know! fantastic work, my dude!!

I love the 1:40 compilation of him doing all the things he suggests Rhys do in Tales from the Borderlands

Jack is literally one of my favorite characters in Borderlands. He’s cold, complex, and evil. But he also puts on the persona of being sort of a comic relief, while also thinking he’s the hero everyone deserves and needs. His story is also incredibly tragic and gave him this twisted reality of what a hero is, so he tried to mimic that.

This...is...so perfect. You chose such a fitting song and the way you told Jack's story was so well executed. I love every single drawing and animation you put in here, I can't even pick favourites. It's just that good.

GUYS, THERE ARNT ALOT OF ANIMATORS THAT ACTUALLY PUT THIS MUCH EFFORT. WE NEED TO APPRECIATE THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY THAT PUTS THIS MUCH EFFORT INTO A POST. I HAVE MUCH LOVE FOR YOU, YOU UNDERRATED ANIMATOR. WHO WANTS TO GET THEM TO ATLEAST 1,000? WHOS WITH ME?

Me and my friend write and draw to this song constantly because it's on our Borderlands/Rhack playlist, and I just have to say - it's exactly how I visualized it. This is so stunningly executed, I've already had to replay the video over and over again... all of the scenes are so stunning and visually stimulating. You've made the characters come to life. There's just SO much animation, I can't catch it all just watching it once - and what a treat that is! I look forwards to replaying this and enjoying it multiple times over. I watched this first before playing or seeing anything of borderlands, I then went and played all of the games, and now it’s just... wow. What an amazing god damn work! The chair spinning scene sent goose bumps up my arms, even if it was only a few seconds, the brutality that follows jacks name and face just brings the energy with it, and you definitely portrayed that beautifully.

I’ve watched this at least 10 times each month,, something about is so addicting. Maybe the art? The song? How it showed us Jacks story so well?? I would say it’s all of the above. What I’m trying to say is this is amazing and I’m in love with it.

This was honestly so good that I almost cried. I love the way you told Jack's story and I think your art style is adorable ❤!

*reads description* so you're saying this WASN'T made about Jack originally? That's a level of absurd that equal to some of the guns in the series.

Aiden Belanger There’s literally a skill that randomly compliments you. Its the best skill in the game easily.(if i recall)

Every time I come to this video to daydream or listen to I always end up watching the animation because it’s just so well done I can’t take my eyes off of it

I only played borderlands 2 and a little of one I forgot the name. But I love it.

Borderlands the Pre-Sequel (the space one) or Tales from the Borderlands (choose-your-own-adventure style)?

With what we learned about him from Borderlands 3....I just feel bad for Jack. I mean his daughter accidentally killed his first wife, her mother, and he was obviously scared of her. Then he gets betrayed by....well a lot of people. Then Lilith punches a relic that was feeding him knowledge, destroying it and permanently scaring his face, plus probably messing up his mind ever further. By now his mental sanity is probably broken heavily....then Borderlands 2 happens and we kill his daughter and him.

Despite this being a song for a different game it still works, also amazing animation

Ever since KZread recommended this to me a week ago, I have to watch it every time I see it pop up (which is quite often). I've lost count how many times I've watched this. I've played all of the Borderlands games and Handsome Jack has always been one of my favorite characters so this animation makes me extremely happy. Amazing work!

I think you did a great job on telling and animating handsome Jack's story and I hope this channel grows in subs in the future

Thanks for the nostalgia Jack is still a favourite Character. One of those villains that oozes personality and insane Charisma. Still kept him at the end of tales of the borderlands. I mean everyone in that game tried to kill each other at one point.. Jack just was better at it than the rest.

jack was the hero in my opinion. bc pandora is choas and needs to be brought into peace, and you the player are keeping him from doing that. also handsome jack is awsome

He actually was the hero but then, bad things just kept happening that drove him to insanity and he was forged into an evil man, he was actually good, his daughter accidentally killed his wife, he was betrayed so many times, then he was pushed to the edge and is now insane

I saw nothing wrong with his actions, his plan was to exterminate the raiders and murderers and he was doing just that

The only reason i liked the pre-sequal is it explains how much betrayal he goes through and at the end of the game he just breaks and becomes the jack in bl2

This is beautiful combination of the song and handsome jack character

There's one thing I really do enjoy about Tales from the Borderlands which this song also touches on. When it comes to fandoms of popular/charismatic villains, there are fans who love saying how much they would love to hang out with them or be their friends. Work with them, etc. Rhys worked with Jack who, even after his death, was a larger than life figure. You, as the player, could even experience how cool it was to work with Handsome Jack to overcome obstacles while he was his usual cocky self. Here is where something critical comes in. Jack, even if he's temporarily working with you, is a psychopath. He never had any intention of sharing power with you. You were a tool to get him back to Hyperion where he could digitally take it over as an Artificial Intelligence. Even if you would say that he got 'corrupted' as an AI which caused him to snap, this AI was still based on the real Handsome Jack. I love Handsome Jack as a villain. He's one of my favorites in fiction as a whole because we get to see his entire progression from ally in the Pre-Sequel to a rampant AI in Tales bent on turning everyone in the galaxy into a robotic copy of himself. It just baffles me that anyone would try to be his friend willingly. Maybe if he was still John the Hyperion programmer to keep him from losing it (a difficult battle on its own), but not after he became the villain we all know and love. Long story short, Handsome Jack is one of my favorite villains. But if he was real and I had a chance to work with him? I would run for the damn hills. XD

I love how you put this together borderlands is one of my favourite games out there amd the pre-sequel was really underrated but was still good Handsome Jack was honestly one of my favorite characters besides the Bl2 Dlc Character Psyco, he was one of the best villains in gaming I have seen and you cant possibly know him till youve seen both sides of him Jack was a master piece and we love him

As someone who has always loved art but who's art is wholely inconsistent I love seeing beauty such as this, truly a masterpiece that makes me see jack in a different Light

I’m losing my mind at how good this is???? I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a neat exploration of his life, and to the perfect song for him at that. I’m totally in love with your art style too, and just UGH Everything about this is perfect

Can’t stop playing this song, it’s been 3 days now and I think I’ve listened to this more than 70 times. The nostalgia made me fall in love with borderlands all over again

Here you are with yet another very impressive animatic, surprising no one! I really really enjoyed this - there was so much individualism and creativity in the expressions and gestures you infused the characters with. There's also a good sense of the games' events going on in the video without becoming unoriginal, which is awesome! So yeah, altogether you've set up an excellent parallel of the plot with lovely visuals and plenty of fun artistic flair, and this is SUCH a fitting song for the video - everything here is pretty damn great. Then again, I love Or3o, and I also love Borderlands, so I couldn't not like it. Still, you've done so well with this, to the point that I was invested all the way through even though I already knew what was going to happen. Good job!

Happy (almost) 2nd year anniversary to this animatic! Literally this animatic is amazing and for the past year and a half I've been coming back to it to it (Mainly because YT recommends it constantly haha!). It's literally such a good animatic!
