Also, the boost from Hakari's Domain Expansion can be extended beyond 4 minutes by just continuing to repeatedly roll jackpots, which Hakari refers to as being "on a roll." Hakari only becomes more likely to roll a jackpot as time goes on. This means he could theoretically have infinite cursed energy, be invulnerable to damage, or pretty much any of the 7 jackpot effects, infinitely while within his domain expansion. It fuels itself with the infinite cursed energy it gives him, meaning it can technically last forever as long as he stays on a roll.

The reason why i love Megumi's domain the most is because even if you somehow were able to escape Megumi's sea of shadows, like the only reason Reggie survived that was because of his technique, you still have to deal with a super buffed Megumi and because it has no guaranteed hit it makes any kind of anti barrier technique completly useless

not even a guarantee that the Megumi youre fighting is the real Megumi, which I find to be one of the coolest and most unique parts of his DE. The Shadow clones he creates are one of a kind afaik except for the paper bag head fool lmao

The main difference is Domain expansions guaranteeds that you land a hit against someone. Even Gojo who can effectively keep doubling the space something needs to pass though to hit him was able to be damaged by a relatively weak domain expansion. A reality marble does not let you have a guaranteed hit.

Honorable mention: Hanami's Domain Expansion The name and appearance of Hanami's domain was revealed in supplementary material (The data books and interviews with Gege). Hanami's domain is Sea of Shining Flowers, a large pasture of flowers (obviously). Based on the name and appearance, we can infer it has a sure hit effect to do with nullifying a target's will to fight as that is what the flower technique did. Still, we will never know for certain what Sea of Shining Flowers is truly capable of as Hanami dove head first into the deep end and suffered the consequences.

I feel like the small pox’s domain should be lower than Dagans mainly because it didn’t do any damage and could be countered with a simple domain whilst Dagans several injured a semi-special grade & 1st grade sorcerers and was only stopped by the goat himself

Dude, the one of the reasons Malevolent Shrine is superior to other domains is because it is immune to almost all the domain counters shown so far in the series . Anti domain techniques like simple domain obviously do not work because in Megumi's fight against Reggie it was stated that simple domains negate barriers imbued with cursed techniques. And guess what ?! Sukuna does not have one. And complete Heavenly Restriction users arent immune to the domains unless they dont want go in, because the domain targets inanimate objects too.

Yep, exaclty, the point of Sukuna's domain is that with is increbible knowledge of jujutsu and is experience over 1000 yrs. he has created a sort of "cheat code" in the system creating a binding vow that let him not having a barrier and therefore a guaranteed hit to increse the area of the domain. This in next level IQ because the point of having a barrier is to trap the opponent inside and having a guaranteed hit but this could be countered by another domain expansion or simple domain, so Sukuna has erase the barrier so that those counter would be useless and created a second type of method to "trap" the opponent being a greater range of attack that should be almost impossible to escape functioning almost like a barrier.

About targeting objects, when he activates it he needs to specify he wants to include objects or not, if you remember the first time he showed the domain against the finger curse, he only targeted the cure, didn’t destroy anything else

Sukuna's Domain has a barrier, his domain is an open barrier type similar to Kenjaku's. Its just that his domain allows anyone to enter or leave. Proof being that Yuki was able to use simple domain against Kenjaku's domain, except it was eventually overpowered

@@donneto457 that is not true, first, there is no such a thing called a barrierless domain type, Sukuna and Kenjaku have done a binding vow where in exchange of not having a barrier they gain something else, in the case of Sukuna a higher range of the domain(up to 200m) and Yuki, yes, she activated a simple domain to trying counter Kenjaku but failed bacause Kenjaku's domain don't have a barrier and seconds later she has taked a heavy attack that crushed her.

On the note of Hikari's invulnerability, it is more of a side effect of him having infinite cursed energy. See, Hikari can't use reverse cursed techniques like regeneration, but with the infinite cursed energy he gains from hitting the jackpot, reversed cursed technique is subconsciously applied to him, so he regenerates infinitely so long as he has his infinite cursed energy active, but can still be killed if his brain is destroyed.

Also, he didn't mention this, but Gojo is CONSTANTLY being bombarded with information from his technique when using it. Even outside of DE. As such, the one original weakness of Limitless used to be the irreparable brain damage it caused with extended use. Gojo just straight up said "lol no" and taught himself Reverse Curse Techniques and is constantly healing the damage while using his technique. Basically granting him an infinite loop of power. The scary part of this, is that when his DE is used on NORMAL ASS PEOPLE it not only floods them with information and leaves them unable go function for at least 300 seconds after exposure, but it often does cause the same irreparable brain damage to them that it would do to Gojo. This is why in Shibuya, he was hesitant to use his DE against the Disaster Curses in the crowded train station. He was worried he would turn the entire crowd into fucking vegetables. Infinity is busted.

It has 2 uses 1)it allows Naoya to see his movements as 24 frames,he can then do these 24 moments in one second.however he as to pre plan his movement or else second rule kicks in. It basically gives a massive boost in speed if you know what to do.ex,24 steps in one second. Using this ability in quick succession means the speed will stacked making you faster 2)people naoya touches have to plan their move 24 steps ahead,if they break this rule,they turn to frames for one second. Tho it has several weaknesses which are 1)if the user doesn’t follow the 24 moves they planned,they turn into a frame for 1 second.forcing them to plan the move perfectly 2)they can’t completely violate the laws of physics,like making 90 degree turns or moving through walls. They have to follow physics

I think you're heavily underestimating Dagon's domain. It's said in the manga that the shikigami summoned in the domain aren't summoned and then sent to attack, but in fact don't even exist until the attack lands. That's incredibly broken, enough so that I'd put it in 8th above Megumi

Every time that Hakari gets a jackpot he gets infinite cursed energy. This doesn't mean he can just do anything. Let's say to defend himself from a cursed energy attack it takes him 10/100 of his units of cursed energy (arbitrary but stick with me) to defend against. After he defends against it while in jackpot he automatically gets back up to 100/100 of his cursed energy. This surge of energy is so rapid that he also gets automated reverse cursed technique (rct). Which is basically healing power. Say an attack would take 12/100 cursed energy units to defend, but the max he can do is 10. He'd take damage, but he'd heal IMMEDIATELY and still be at 100/100 cursed energy units. That's also why he gets faster, because he can run at full speed without loosing cursed energy and because of the rct that's constantly rejuvenating him.

The first time I saw a domain expansion the first thing that came to mind was the psychic territories from YYH, an aspect of that anime I always thought was criminally under explored so I’m hype for this series.

With how recent JJK chapters are going by the time I’m writing this, I’d swap Sukuna and Gojo’s, but very good list overall.

You know what’s kinda crazy. Looking back I see similarities between Sakuna and Megumi. The big one being that both their domain expansions occupy/ can effect physical spaces. Malevolent shrine appears wherever summoned. Chimaera garden is incomplete but needs to be contained within a physical space.

Okay, loved the video, just a little piece of mind about barrierless domains. Barrierless domains are stronger not just because they have no barrier but because they can't really be blocked. With a regular domain expansion you can just cancel it out with simple domain or your own domain expansion. This however is not possible with barrierless domains as they aren't taking place is a "pocket dimension" of sorts but on the world around them. Barriers aren't there to keep people trapped inside they are there for the sorcerer to "paint" over them and shape them into their domains, a domain with no barrier is described as a sorcerer being akin to an artist not painting over a canvas but in the air itself. And as such since Sukuna painted over all 200 meters around if you use your own domain expansion then you will paint over the 20 meters your own domain sets up, but Malevolent shrine will continue to exist both inside of your domain and outside. This gets very complicated but it's explain in dept during the Gojo vs Sukuna fight

You know, Shiryo Emiya's Unlimited Blade Works from Fate/Stay Night would fit in REALLY well with JJK as a domain expansion.

Well Reality Marbles are almost the same as Domains only Reality Marbles don't have sure hit effects so there closer to Heian Era Domains. So all Reality Marbles would fit right in with JJK Unlimited Blade Works, Ionian Hitiroi, Depletion Garden, Lair of the Beast King, Overload, etc. would be pretty at home in JJK.

What makes Gojo's domain even more stronger than it already is that its able to use the rule that leaving something about your domain open makes it stronger but the way the information is given to you is incomplete. You know and also dont know what it is at the same time, kind of like hearing someone in a dazed state from all the way across a long tunnel. You know its there yet you can't make sense of it.

Watching this video and remembering how Cursed Spirits work, I'm seeing a lot of parallel with Chainsaw Man as far as how Cursed Spirits and Devils come to exist, which is that a fear of the thing they represent must exist.

A fully mastered 10S easily has the most potential for "best domain" especially since you could make clone mahoraga that could potentially adapt to different things

I've read the manga three times and I came to the same conclusion about Hakari's domain expansion basically constantly pulling slots while "luck" via bonuses keeps stacking and a dating sim plays out to the success of the pulls. So Hakari takes hold of luck by being strong enough that his domain itself doesn't need to actually hinder skilled opponents he just reaps the rewards of manhandling luck. That's why Yuta and Gojo talk up Hakari when he's on a roll you're only hope is to destroy his head before you're just fucked xD

I had to like when I got to Hikari's domain expansion, i had no clue what was going on in those chapters.

sukuna has a more refined domain since gojo still needs to enclose his so i think sukuna has a better domain and gojos is made for one person sukuna destoryed a large area of shibuya while holding back

dojos domain isn't for one person, in Shibuya he caught over a thousand curses, transfigured humans, and humans in it at once

Hakari’s domain doesn’t make him invulnerable, it gives him unlimited cursed energy for 4 minutes and this causes him to automatically use Reversed cursed Technique to heal himself

Can you do a breakdown comparing Domain Expansions to Reality Marbles from the Fate series? They seem rather similar so I am curious on your thoughts of some of the differences.

Bro imagine when hakari unlock his domain for very first time

I picture Womb Profusion to just be a small town like environment with obstacles (the one from his past that changed his view on sorcery, for example). Open ended, but added onto little by little with every spirit he eats. Spirits roam free in this expansion, but can't leave. And the danger is simply that the spirits get to do whatever they want to do to you if they catch you. It just keeps getting more and more powerful and terrifying the more spirits Geto can get his hands on. And well........ yeah. I don't have to explain that one. It was able to counter Sukuna'a expansion simply because it was so many spirit's worth of cursed energy + Geto's own vs Sukuna's.

I wanna see what sukuna can do with chimera shadow garden imagine 300 meter radius of black shinigami death filled with giant nues and mahoragas.

One correction. Hakari isn't immortaland has infinite cursed energy. Hes imortal because he has infinite cursed energy. Because of his unlimited cursed energy supply he can defend himself against most attacks whuch means for most sorcerers attacking him is pointles and even of you land an attack he can regenerate it instantly with rct which is automatic. He could technically be killed if you destroy his head, because thats where rct comes from or vaporize him instantly.

An underestimation of Dagon's domain expansion😂 If it weren't for Toji's interference, he would have been able to defeat Nanami, Megumi, Maki, and Naobito within the domain.

Gojo’s Domain Expansion is basically showing the victim how true screwed they are. Again and again and again until Gojo puts them out of their misery.

Gege uses something like simplified theoretic math and it makes things so confusing but oddly it makes me love it that much more, after we saw a certain mass technique I was all in

This would be very interesting, at least the top spots would be, a lot of people still debate Zaraki, Ichigo, Aizen and Yama's placement (some even argue kyoraku should be in this tier).
