Season 3 will air on PBS in January 2023.
The new season sees our beloved Skeldale House family in the Spring of 1939 as the prospect of another World War looms large over the Dales. Change is afoot for all our Darrowby residents, especially James and Helen, who are embarking on the next exciting chapter of their lives.

I am watching it again. Thanks, PBS! The horse owner's man is willing to have a horse killed to prove he is right. He should not spend time with animals! Horses bring out the best in Siegfried. I enjoy learning more about what shaped him. The writers of this program have created amazing characters. I read the books, and James Herriott did not write about these people at all. They are the creations of the show writers. Well done! The characters are fantastic.
This is my favorite of the more serious episodes. Very emotional and well acted.
Ive watched this episode twice already. How lovely is Seigfried with River the horse. Very moving and very emotional. Well done Sam West!

Hope Season 4 allows Siegfried to work a bit more with his beloved horses, while demanding actual adult work out of Tristan.
That's no racehorse! Look at the size of the hooves! And the head! Producers could have at least gotten a docile, off-track TB for the filming. They *do* exist!
