Great video man....thanks! Just out of curiosity, can you buy a decent jet RTF for $3000-$4000? Assuming I already have the transmitter and batts. Or are they considerably more expensive than that? Any good websites you would recommend? Thanks for your time amigo. Have fun!!

Thanks for the comment Chris. I have never seen any RTR/RTF Jet for sale to be honest. You can buy a used RTF jet for 3-4k. The jet in the video was purchased used from a reputable pilot/builder and in my opinion this is the best way to jump in to gas turbine jets. Buying used (reputable pilot/builder) ensures the jet is setup correctly, proven to fly and if you can get the radio program it can also be fully trimmed. If you have good stick time with airplanes that land fast, the Boomerang Spring (in video) is a highly recommended jet trainer by the guys with many hours of jet experience.

Thanks man!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Yes, used is the way I would go about it. Very exciting to know I can get into for under $5k. Are those jets fairly reliable, or constantly having to work on them? Yes, I have at least 1000 flights with 130 mph planes. I know that doesn't compare to the speed of your jet, but I'm very comfortable flying fast, 3D as well. Thanks again!! And, is there a website you would recommend looking for a used one? Rcgroups.com?? Thanks again, and happy flying. 👍

Hi Chris, they can be very reliable yes. This is critical as you don't want any issues while flying. Issues are dangerous and costly. Reliability heavily depends on the components sourced for the build and the setup. I would not recommend a website but rather looking for a used plane within your club for your first. This way your fellow club members and the seller can assist getting the plane in to the air for the highest chance of success.
