ALL CHANGE AT CHIRK - Station Rebuild Appeal
Welcome to the official KZread of the Glyn Valley Tramway Trust! And for our first official piece, we intend to hit the ground running, and better yet, you can be part of this amazing journey, from the start!
All Change At Chirk is the appeal launch for the Glyn Valley Tramway Trust station rebuild. It is hoped that enough funds can be raised to bring Chirk Tramway station back to life. If we can raise the estimated amount of £250,000, this will be very possible. The plan is to reinstate the station building, replace the track, and restore the retaining wall. And one day, run trains again!

It's the last bastion of lost Welsh narrow gauge steam , always loved the Glyn valley , never knew there was footage of it tho

Well one day, you'll be able to visit here for sure! :-) As far as we know, that's the only footage of it.
guessing one of the future plans would be to reconstruct one of the locos? Talyllyn have some of the GVT carriages so maybe if there nice you can get one back lol

Indeed! The loco will be one of the next appeals we're doing. And as for the coaches, we are in talks to see if we can get the coaches here one day for a special event. Stay tuned!
in my oponion, the railway focus for rebuilding coche and start the line beetween 2 stations
I was on holiday in carrog and went to llangollen this place to have a look at the station and saw the aquaduct and the welshpool & llanfair railway. What track gauge are you going to use?
