Hard to believe this set was done pretty much cold with no practice as a group. Nimrod and Khary are Philly musicians who know each other and have played together quite a bit, and Chad and Liya know and have worked with each other both being out of NY, but this quartet had never performed as a group before they got on the set. Speaks to the skill and professionalism of all involved.

just amazing
the drummer face Is legendary🤣
Chad is without doubt a consummate professional jazz musician. All he needs now is his jazz legend to grow.
Such a great show! I've never sat so close, we were right behind the drummer. Chad doing Chad things with a super talented ensemble, in a venue so close one could literally have reached out and touched the musicians--maybe my best live music experience ever!
An immemse task to take on! Indeed well done.
One of Miles Davis's great compositions.
Is that Ice cube in the bass? AWESOMEEEEEEE
The camera man getting more and more adventurous

Stunning solo Chad, such heartfelt blues lines at the beginning- loved it so much:)
I just watched this on my bigscreen TV and it looked Awesome. Great camera work, the soft earthtones of the room, the audience, and the band looked great.

Thank you! We toured through Chicago a few weeks ago. Hope to see you next time!
Wolverine playing saxophone? cool!
Nice interpretation of one of the greatest jazz tracks, from indisputably the most celebrated jazz album, created by arguably the greatest jazz ensemble, ever recorded! The brilliance of Miles, spirit of 'Trane, joviality of The Cannonball, Bill's kaleidoscopic modal chords, the solid rock that was Mr. P.C., and Jimmy's predictable pulse; all pressed and heat forged together in a couple sessions back in '59. Recreated here as it has been countless times before in its sixty-plus years longevity. Each musician always stamping his/her own signature statement on the immortal twelve bar phrases taken. Inspired by its calling, so many would be jazz cats committed to travel seriously down that road. Witness one more journey down that road so often taken, but not always toured with appreciation during the ride...Enjoy the ride. I repeat...Nice!
Practice your outside pents, gonna need 'em boyz...
ผมเองก็เป็นนักดนตรี เป่าSaxophoneครับ

Surprisingly, with such good music being created, the audience and those lucky to be there, appear to be visiting a library! No emotion or apparent appreciation of what they were witnessing

I hear you but I think they are just listening deeply and concentrating on the music. I've played lots of gigs where I'm thinking ..no smiles...but after the gig they said how much they loved it. Some people listen with their heart some with their mind.

Or....they might be like...."I don't want to look.....on camera. So I'll stay still"

The audience was deeply appreciative and participatory in the creation of music in the moment! How? They stayed out of the way and let the musicians play. Clearly there was lots of hand claps after each solo and lots of nonverbal affirmations… people do listen differently, especially other musicians.

Chad w.ith his eyes open ... but what does he see?
Wish I could double thumbs up on this...one thumb just seems insufficient.
liya grigoryan absolutely kills it. i hate how the bass is mixed though, has zero definition
Nice!
