Thanks for sharing this video. I have a question on other OHIP or employer insurance benefits. Can I also be covered on OHIP if I visit a specialist like Gynaecologist or Dermatologist directly without family doctor intervention?

It depends on the clinic frankly. Most of them need a referral from family doctor but there could be some who have availability to accept patients directly. Better check by calling them, good luck!

Please let me know one thing if employers give 8 weeks full 100 percent salary for maternity benefits then EI benefits will start from 9th week or we are not eligible for EI benefits

Hi, thank you for sharing this informative video. I had 2 questions related to child care benefit. 1. Can we get the CCB amount (post delivery) along with the EI maternity benefit ? 2. Additionally, you mentioned that CCB value is determined on the basis of family income. So for the calculation purpose of CCB, do we include EI maternity benefit in the family income or will it just be the spouses income. It’ll be great if you can share some insight on this. Ahh! They expect you to bring everything for sure but do provide for first day at least, rest it depends from hospital to hospital. And temporary residents can also claim ccb

Formula they provide free of cost till the time baby is in the hospital. Diapers they dont. I delivered the baby last month in ontario, so its as per my exp.
